  1. Post some pics of the records! I bought the box set version but was let down by the records.
  2. I definitely wanna try and get one of these with the check i get tomorrow; hope they don't sell out before i can get to a store on wednesday... i'll put the blue records in my gatefold sleeve and put it in my box set to keep the nice collection together, and play the black ones and store them in the single cardboard sleeve that the blue ones came in.
  3. I think I messaged you asking about a copy. I may be noobish, but I assure you my intentions were nothing sinister, just trying to get a copy. I'd never swindle or anything. My financial situation has changed, I think I might need to take another look into getting a copy of this record somewhere.
  4. Playing my personal copy now, which I already love. Good luck, man. Even though at this point, it only came out a week or two ago, so everyone who has it is the die hard fans who won't sell a copy, myself included. But good luck getting a copy. For the record (ha) Hot Topic will have an exclusive blue /1500 press up very soon.
  5. It'll just appear on hottopic.com, right? Will it be on the front page or anything?
  6. Playing the record now, sounds really tight. Only complaint is, Still Into You is DECIDELY lacking bass. I know it's not my little beginner's table or stereo system either, because, even though it's amplified a little bit, the bass drum at the beginning of Proof is BOOMING. Sounds good to me, I'm satisfied Now bring on that HT Exclusive!
  7. They're blue. Is there any way we can be notified? I'd hate to miss out on it.
  8. Well, I just realized that not everyone got the same bundle as I did. I don't know about the regular vinyl editions. My copy, which was part of a /1000 pre-order, (but contained a /7000 total box set) has a little CD slot built right into the gatefold and comes with a copy on CD, but doesn't have the bonus tracks on it like it did on the BNE box. The BNE 7" box set was a DVD/CD deal, and it had its own dedicated regular vinyl release. Bought the CD at the store on 4/9, this shipped today, and I will probably get the HT Exclusive. I'm also jazzed to get The Holiday Sessions. I saw them going for $65 on eBay which is interesting, and a signed copy for $400+. I won't sell mine, though. Probably not.
  9. Okay, so confirmation, my orders shipped too! I'm not home now, maybe it'll arrive today! Can certainly update this post with pics if some would like to see when I get home! it scanned "Out for Delivery" at 4:18am today so I'm assuming it'll arrive soon! EDIT: I can't make the embed album work, so here's an imgur link to the album of my unboxing http://imgur.com/a/Oi4Kz Initial thoughts: A hefty box set, and a nice collector's item. I'm a little upset because of my box number (I got 351/7000 on the BNE box) but it's all a great deal. The box set is basically to house the 7" and the poster if you don't hang it (I don't know if I will- I've already got a "Hands Up!'" lithograph on my wall). At first I tried to fit the "Self Titled Life" book into the set and it wouldn't fit, but I realized if I remove the bubble wrap from the box, the book will probably fit in. Everything is pretty sweet except- the vinyl. I mean, I we can't expect 180g out of everyone, but it just kind of sucks. I haven't played it, but it just feels flimsy as a lot of vinyl does these days. Holding right the fuck out for the HT blue /1500 version. Side note: If anyone got this bundle, and by any chance got an XL hoodie and it's too small, I will gladly trade you mine for yours. This XL is massive on me, and I've lost some weight these days.
  10. That blows man. I've been looking to try and get all three on vinyl. (AWK, Riot, bne). Last night I was in an eBay bidding fight for a copy of bne and lost it.
  11. I would assume it will available online. I'm jazzed for it. As a pre-orderer of a limited edition /1000 bundle on their site, I'll probably nab the /1500 Blue HT exclusive. One to play, one to keep? Dunno. Anyway, got that Holiday Sessions 7" too. $18 after shipping, seeing them already go for $60-70 on eBay is pretty cool, but I'll keep mine. As for shipping on the vinyl copies, I'm getting antsy. I want my box set!
  12. DAMN. That was fucking fast, I was about to PM you an offer. How do you know if they just pop up on ShopRadioCast? Do you get notifications in email or something? I would've bought the shit out of one for $18.99...
  13. ^^^Was gonna link to this. Don't pay $50. Pay like, $22 shipped. Less than half.
  14. PM'd, cosmonaut! Hi, and no offense taken. I wasn't trying to hijack this thread at all, I was just trying to add to the conversation. That other poster just upset me in the other thread and I went a bit overboard.
  15. All the copies on the front few pages have already gone. They get snatched up so fast
  16. You could have explained the game, then, if you were more concerned about filling me in rather than insulting me. If there's a super small number of an album pressed, say 1000. Way more than 1000 people would want that album. But this guy, has around 8-10 copies of this record. (Wikipedia shows 11 separate variants of "TDAG," he said he's still working on finishing it, and he also has two test presses.) This would make the number of this record, 990. But still, even more than 999 want this album. This guy has MULTIPLE copies this record, when he should only need one to listen to and enjoy (MAYBE TWO if he wanted to keep one and play one). Say 10 or 20 people start working on this collection for themselves. That's a considerably smaller amount of people who get to purchase and enjoy the album. For absolutely no good reason. Not to mention, copies of this record go for $300 a pop. Really disappointing for a guy like me who just wants to buy a copy of the album, listen, and enjoy, and doesn't need a super limited edition to do so. Did the math, Wikipedia's listing of the album's pressing information says there should be 9200 copies of the record in existence. (I remember reading about 20 test pressings being made so we'll say 9220.) I know that's way more than the 1000 I used in my example, but when they can go for $300 a pop, it's still nearly impossible to just get a copy. I know yours (I think you said you had a TCR white which was /3000) went for $115, which is still a large amount for a record for a college guy like me, but I would still try to pay that. It's just a shame that you guys think going WAY overboard and buying 10 copies of an already limited album is okay, even when a guy like me would give his right arm for just one.
  17. His thing keeps others from enjoying a wonderful piece of music it's already hard enough to obtain.
  18. Search produced 0 results. I'd have some interest in Anberlin and Brand New maybe.
