What does discogs say about them? Can you find them at all on discogs? A promo is sometime just a regular pressing that has been stamped or cut out. If it's that type of promo, it's not going to be worth the pretty penny you hope. If they are promo items that were made only as promo and there's not a regular version, then you are onto something. But they should still be on discogs. If you have a Pink Floyd test pressing that they sent to NME desperate for someone to review it and help them get their big break, someone is lying. Post some pictures or list some titles.

I am fascinated by this problem. Does it spin with no record on it? Did OP answer that already? I can't imagine a cheap old record playing bothering to have any sensors in it.

HOLY CRAP. My apologies to OP. I have never seen a problem like that and therefore couldn't imagine it actually hapening. Turns out your question wasn't dumb at all.

I can only guess that OP is using the word "spin" to mean "play correctly" because I can't imagine a normal scenario where the turntable won't spin based on what is sitting on top of it. And if that's true, then this whole topic is about a used record that skips?

LP not out until end of May. I will wait, but I want to support. They are doing this all on their own now.

If a Disney Picture disc at a Hot Topic in some small town is the thing that makes a kid buy a record player and learn to appreciate vinyl or any other physical music format, then I support it. The more records that exist, the better! Press everything! Turn Hot Topic into a full on record store! Kids don't need baggy zipper pants and Adventure Time lunch boxes anyway! If Hot Topic wants to press up some Kidz Bop LPs, Go for it! I always thought that Smashmouth was a little too edgy so I like when the Kidz sing it. At least it's a physical format. Most kids today hear a song they like and don't even consider that they should buy it or try to find more songs like it. They just listen to it on Spotify until they are sick of it and move on. All records are great! Is Black Cauldron DIsney? Press that! I would buy that one.

I believe this is the vinyl that is made to look like bloody bruised flesh. I happened to stop in the pressing plant as he was mixing it. Cool idea!
