I jumped on this since I dont own a copy yet and I also jumped on that Talking Heads LP....

Looks like Uncle Al is digging further back into the catalog and repressing the "Twelve Inch Singles" in an expanded form on double translucent smoke vinyl. It also includes a hand numbered photo of the band that is printed on linen? Interesting.....
Amazon.com has it up for $44.95 (cash grab price!)

Thanks for posting this guys, I just placed my order as well

Really? Every store I went to when I went down the OC had excessively overpriced stuff.
You gotta find the little hole in the wall shops that don't come up on a Google/GMaps search.

There is one copy up for sale from a US seller on ebay. He/she is asking $79 which isnt too bad considering everyone else wants $100+
Someone please pull the trigger on this before I do.....

Gotta love them OC record stores!
Seriously! I've found some killer deals on LPs while shopping in the OC
-
-
So whats the verdict on this? Is it a bootleg or real deal?

I've emailed Music Tracks to see if they can provide me with any info on the release date.
-
-
It used to say "pre-order" and now it just says Add to Cart. My guess is that the release date has already come and gone....
-
Has anyone received their copy yet? I placed my pre-order on Aug 20th and I haven't heard a peep from these guys.

Did you get that Third Man slipmat there?
Nope, I picked that up at the Jack White show in SF on Saturday. The Sub Pop mat is higher quality so I figured I would pick it up and save the JW mat as a backup.
so, do they have Airport prices on everything or Sub Pop prices on everything (by SP prices I mean, they are often pretty good at keeping their prices lower than most other big indie and major labels)... I imagine renting retail space in an airport isn't cheap...
Prices were pretty close to retail. The 2013 mix of In Utero was priced at $44.95 which is the same price I have seen at Silver Platters in Bellevue, WA. Then the 20th ann. of Superunknown was a flat $50 and the slip mat I picked up was $10. -

So I was coming back to Seattle today after seeing Nine Inch Nails / Soundgarden in San Francisco and I finally had the chance to stop by Sub Pop's new store that is located in the SeaTac airport. This place was AWESOME. Loads of Loser edition vinyl as well as a few RSD stuff. I asked one of the employees if they knew anything about their store being included in Record Store Day and she said that if its getting released by Sub Pop, they will most likely receive one box of each title but thats it.
If you ever fly into Seattle, you need to swing by Terminal C and take a look at their stuff. Sadly, you cannot just walk into SeaTac and head right to their store since its located inside the terminal and you need a plane ticket to get in Here are some photos I took today as well as a video I found on YouTube.
(side note, they had two albums signed by The Head & The Heart at what looked like a listening station but they were not for sale. I ended up picking up a Sub Pop slipmat and its REALLY high quality)
(EDIT: If you click on the photos of the records you should be taken to my Photobucket where you can then zoom in closer to see each title)

How is it a disservice to others? And if the boot sounds awesome (like this one) then where is the harm being done? (Take away the fact that the band didn't get my money)

Looks like a Yellow/Green variant has popped up on Discogs. $44.99 price tag though

Has anyone ordered from Hot Tracks before? Wondering how they are with packing, shipping etc...
I just asked my friend who clued me in on this PO and he said he has never had issues with Hot Tracks when it comes to shipping and packaging. I pulled the trigger on this release so I'll let you know my experience first hand once I receive my order.

The it looks like "The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste" is getting another repress, but this time its two different limited edition variants.
First up:150 GRAM OPAQUE GOLD COLORED VINYL LIMITED TO 1500, FOIL-NUMBERED
Second up:
200 GRAM BLACK VINYL LIMITED TO 1500, FOIL-NUMBERED
I'm really pumped for this repressing as my original copy skips pretty badly and I refuse to pay the asking prices for a VG+ copy or better.
Bummed about the new Bowie vinyl
