Got my copy of Song Islands yesterday, it's such a beautiful package. A lot of thought went into every aspect of it, even the mailer had all this weird shit on it. I haven't spun it yet, but I'm very excited. Definitely picking up the rest of these.

Ordered mine like ten days ago and it's still not here. I'm on the West Coast, too. Hrrrmph. I'm sure it's worth the wait, though.

Managed to get Silence Of The Lambs, my very first Mondo print. Super stoked. I wanted Attack The Block too, but my funds are limited (story of my life).

I got hella excited but then I realized. *slow clap* The question is, are you actually going to Wrestlemania? That sounds sweaty.

God damn, that shipping is rough. Still bought it though, I love this album.

Hey gang, kind of a weird situation here. A while back I picked up Hans Zimmer's The Dark Knight OST from my local record store. It was marked down; while the records are new and unplayed, the sleeve has some pretty hardcore damage on the front. There are two small holes near the top left of the cover, and a large hole near the bottom right. This is in addition to several scratches along the bottom. This is just the cover, mind you; the gatefold and the back are completely untouched. While I know the damage is rather unsightly, I know how in-demand this album is for certain people, given that it's out of print. Both records are unplayed and seemingly unscathed. Didn't take advantage of any of the sales, but this thread did remind me to snag the Kevin Devine debut, so I must thank you for that.

Got mine today, the cardboard is even flimsier than I expected. Pretty disappointing. Haven't listened yet, I'll report back.

I already have the UK press of Elephant on black, and it sounds great, but the reissue is so tempting. I'm such a sucker for colored vinyl. And knowing TMR they won't release the pressing numbers. Ugh. In any case, the ATD-I reissue is top priority for me. One of my all-time favorite albums.

Yeah, "so far" was the important phrase there, although I probably shouldn't be throwing around that particular acronym in February to begin with. I get excited sometimes.

Mine's been shipped too, apparently. Totally stoked, this is definitely my AOTY so far.
