I finally listened to this album last night, and it fucking shreds.

I am fucking old. I can't believe this is 20 years old. I bought it when it came out.

I saw old wives in edmonton in january.  they sound like green day from 1994.

I was sold after listening to the sample songs.

both bands are so damn good! cant wait for this album!!

We pressed up this great record by Kurt Baker called Brand New Beat. If you are into old Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello maybe a little Nick Lowe and the like, then maybe you might like it. It's only $10 postage paid to the usa (because price gouging is for major lables reissuing 90's clearance bin albums).

Only losers pay $12 for a record.  If this was priced at $25, hell, even $35, I'd totally buy it, but at $12.....I think not.

I'm gonna play cheerleader again, because I don't have the patience to read the last few pages, but I'm guessing they've been mostly negative.  Todd, this release made my year.  So stoked to have it. I bet no one has taken, or will take, you up on the offer for a refund for the tie dye set.  If anyone did, there's 100s of people who would jump at the chance to give 'em a second home.

I know this is easy for me to say, as I wound up with the variant I was hoping for, but I thought this was a really fun way to offer these records.  I cleared my Sunday morning and hovered over my keyboard a full thirty minutes prior to noon, and started refreshing every 3-5 seconds no later than 11:50.  By the time the "GOOOO" post showed up I was on the edge of my seat.  It was good fun - I've never been so thoroughly invested in picking up a record before.
 
ALSO... as someone who packs up records pretty often, I am amazed at how quickly these shipped and how accurately Todd was able to fill the items promised to each customer.
 
AND... so far as I know, Todd has quickly and thoroughly addressed every single issue that has arisen during this whole process.  Dude's a superhero in my book!

derrr.... I just read through the last 4 pages of posts, and my brain is melting... I may leave my computer on all night, just in case tomorrow it decides not to boot up for the first time ever right at 11:50...

About a decade ago, Todd sold me an amazing selection of Clearview records (double clear LP "Live at the Orifice", two variants of Shout at the Queers, I lost my Marbles, etc) for almost no markup above original retail.  Records arrived within a week, and he even threw in a bonus copy of Angry Samoans "Back from Samoa" for free.  We had connected through Ebay, but the sale was completed outside of Ebay. Dude is solid gold in my book!

Both bands sound great! The Blendours have a real Ziggens feel, love it!

The third release from my band will be EXACTLY what you have just described
 
A split 12" with six tracks from Edmonton, AB's OLD WIVES and 9 tracks from Iowa City's THE BLENDOURS.
 
I feel like its a risky record to make, but I also happen to think they're two of the best unknown bands on the continent at the moment... So we'll see how it goes!
