That's how much the magenta splatter was at my local store...but like I wrote in a previous post...I talked the guy down to $20...

Ditto here...I'd be more confident in getting it from Virgil than anywhere else.

Right now I am more inclined to buy....as far as these two...I wouldn't want to get raped...I saw two very recent eBay listings for these going for outrageous amounts...or rather, the seller had it really high BIN amounts...needless to say they didn't sell...

I'll second that. I think I've spent over $400 in the past month on vinyl alone. Ouch. Damn! That is a lot...but then again, I think I have probably spent as much...so I feel your pain brotha!

Somewhat related...I picked up an extra copy of the 1st press at my local record shop...it was the clear w/ magenta splatter and the shop was selling it for $25.00!...I haggled with the guy and brought it down to $20.00...which is what it would have been if ordered via VC or the label..."I fought the law and won..."

I am hopeful...I won't hold my breath though...it would be cool to see them perform and maybe hear some new material. In my opinion, they are a band that has not been equaled...

yard/garage sales man, i've seen more copies of led zep 2 than i can count. Thanks dude. I haven't actively looked for one...but this thread has inspired to go find it...

Led Zeppelin IV ("Zoso")...it was my dad's...I remember the first time I played it, I thought the earth itself was rumbling...it was so bottom-heavy and loud...Every once in a while I still put it on...Now, if I can get a copy of 'Led Zeppelin II' and play "Moby Dick"...I am sure that will tear down the walls of the room!

Same here. But I myself can be somewhat guilty of getting stuff that I don't listen to solely for the possibility to trading it for something I want...case in point: I tried to get that Converge/AN clear wax but was too late though...
