  1. What condition are Grateful Dead Europe '72, Toto IV and Jimi Hendrix The Cry of love?
  2. I'd like to jump in on this also! If anyone has a copy, I'd be willing to take it off your hands! But contact andi first before you contact me!
  3. Is your signature moving or is it an optical illusion? I'm pretty sure it's moving, but I'm not sure...
  4. If I don't win but someone here does, I'll take your Radiohead albums off your hands Except Kid A and In Rainbows. I have those.
  5. YES a hundred times YES. I bought Hybrid Theory there cause it was the only place that had it and it was 35. Zaireeka was 100 while the other stores were selling it for 70ish. Village World is a POS store. EVERYTHING there is upmarked at least 5 - 10 dollars more than other stores. I hope the store goes out of business.
  6. Just file a claim. The guy is full of shit. He's avoiding your questions and trying to frame your request as if it was an arduous task. It's not. You're being the nice guy here trying to work things out, but he's the one who A. Still has your money B. Still has your record (Since your money is still in his possession) C. Is extremely difficult D. Is screwing you and doesn't care You have every reason to go forward with this. I sympathize because I was in a similar situation. Again, just go to paypal and do what I mentioned before. Just saying that the listing was false would win your dispute, but I'd go farther than that by detailing the whole ordeal to put the final nail in the coffin. Vinyl records don't turn to dust... I have records twice my age and they didn't crumble like a cookie.
  7. If he won't send you a picture of the missing piece, then file away. Also take screenshots of your conversation with A saying that he bought the broken one from A and send it in along with your claim to ebay. If you REALLY want to help your case, he misgraded the record and it was falsely graded on the listing. He admitted that it sounded flawless when he had it, but you played it and it sounds like Rice Krispies. The time to be nice is over. He's already uncooperative and belligerent so why waste the time on formalities? Get your money back and buy your record dude. Document EVERYTHING. It helps your case a lot.
  8. Fuck silver. I don't want to deal with WB so I'm just buying the UK version with the 7"
  9. Do this. Contact CS and tell them what happened. Then go to your paypal account and dispute the charge. They'll refund your money and reply to your CS complaint. That's what happened to me.
  10. If you paid by paypal, there's a probability that the purchase didn't interface with their system so all you did was send them money. Open a paypal dispute and they'll refund your buckaroos.
  11. Same. Did you pay by paypal and/or not make an account with them?
  12. That was me. Second place was Turntable Labs which was great btw. Also, Village Music World on 197 Bleeker St sold Hybrid Theory for $35. It's not too bad of a markup, but their stuff is usually $5 - 10 more than other stores.
  13. I was kinda pissed cause I was in Turntable Labs when I saw that Turntable charged 15. But I justified my purchase in my mind because 1. It was my first stop and 2. I didn't know if I would see it again. Of course, in hindsight it was shitty. I'm just kinda pissed at Academy now.
  14. Picked up The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory Phoenix - Entertainment Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe Pink Floyd - See Emily Play Iron and Wine Tame Impala The White Stripes - Elephant I love Turntable Labs. They had great selections (a lot of Notorious B.I.G.) and friendly staff even though it's a small store. Academy Records was eh for me. Although I picked up tame impala, hey joe, the white stripes and see emily play there the guy working behind the barely read the list of six records I wrote. That and see emily play was 25 bucks. See emily play was 15 at Turntable labs.
