I emailed Mitch from P&T telling him the same thing. I fully believe the completely random drop was the sole reason I was able to score a TWBB yesterday. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Mondo did nothing to discourage the flipping of their vinyl/prints. The aftermarket prices on their stuff only adds to the hype.

The whole "randomly mixed" variant thing is such a pain in the ass. I was hoping they were gonna change things up like they did with the Oblivion OST and release the variant exclusively through their site and standard black through retailers. The only thing randomly mixing the variants is doing is helping Mondo sell out their stock faster. Smart business plan, but it sucks for the variant collectors.

I noticed this as well. All their recent drops have been within 15 mins of 12:00 EST. I'd love to see them release stuff super late/early again. Seems to make it a LITTLE more fair...

I was hoping this wasn't going to flip so all the douchebags would be stuck with a $250 record. Unfortunately this is not the case...

This is what I personally do. I wouldn't be suprised if Mondo released the picture disc with the assumption that most people were intending to frame/display it. Would make sense coming from a poster based company. Luckily they also released it on traditional black so actual vinyl users could be satisfied.

Apology accepted. In all honesty though, I bought a Drive pic disc soley to display. I've already got a black copy for superior listening purposes, and it feels sorta wrong to keep such awesome artwork hidden away inside its sleeve on my shelf. This is probably considered to be improper etiquette, but I don't really care.

All part of the game.

This won't go nearly as fast as the other releases due to the single variant. Should be I stock for at least a few days.

Hey all, So I'm trying to round out my Mondo Records variant collection. I've got an extra blue copy of the "Beyond" soundtrack that I'm looking to trade for the red "Deadly Spawn". Thought I try on here before sending messages out to people selling them on eBay. Let me know!

Not sure if this has been posted but Insound tells me the Carbon is out of stock because there was a certain amount of them that had to be recalled. They are still waiting on new ones to arrive from Pro-Ject/Sumiko.

Nice! I wonder how many they reserved for retail. I'd hate to miss out on this again due to low funds...
