  1. I didn't see a post about this. Idk if anyone on here will care about it, but I am posting it anyway. Canadian Slowcore/Post Rock/whatever genre band Kepler's 2005 album Attic Salt (originally released on CD by Troubleman Unlimited) is being released on vinyl by German label Oscarson. The drummer of this band also played in the amazing math rock band Weights & Measures. But broke both that band and Kepler up when we went on to join a much more notable act, Arcade Fire. The album with be released May 6th 2014 Limited to 1,000 copies with 50 of those being a "special edition" version. Pictures of both versions are on the website below, which is also where you can preorder the album. http://oscarson.bandcamp.com/

  4. long shot quez. any chance of the Marathon/Fire When Ready 7inch being available at the Rochester reunion show?
  5. same. i was very excited with this. and reading through was pumped on everything. but just another case of the price not really justifying whats included. at least not for me at the pay i make. haha. i wish i could buy it though. cause i love slint. I really want to see that DVD.
  6. yeah, my bass player got the record from a friend for $25. I dont think he wouldve had much luck otherwise.
  7. i came to band practice the other night and saw my bassist had a copy of Deloused there. I had been reading all this bootleg talk and thought he had perhaps picked one up for himself. nope. original. his friend sold him a copy. So obviously i asked, how much did you pay? he was like "probably got taken a little but he sold it to me for $25." I screamed "are you fucking kidding me?!?" i still cant believe he got a original silver copy of this for 25 bucks. I will probably opt to get one of these bootlegs. especially if they sound decent. better than paying hundreds of dollars. i dont honestly see another option.
  8. yeah. i know that will probably happen to me as well. but i dont want to miss out on it. i love Owls. the full length and the random comp songs are good. I agree that my initial reaction wasnt as stoked as i would like, but I know I will enjoy this album in the long run because i like the band. Perhaps the Albini recording is what I'm missing?

  11. thats fine. im excited either way. maybe just take that Tamiroff idea for the future? haha
  12. Tamiroff discography LP? ;-) I figure with the Marathon album, its not beyond the scope of reason.
  13. a little late on responding, but I was at the Boston show. Missed out on tickets to Brooklyn, but knew i had to see them. So i got the Boston tickets and drove the 6 hours to the show. haha. They were super great live. Awesome set list. Loved all the For Long Tomorrow songs they played. Only thing i was bummed about was that they didn't have any of the DVD's for sale. I was planning on buying all those. settled for just a shirt though. I cant even tell you how excited i was to see them. I like alot of Japanese bands. I'd previously seen Envy, Mouse on the Keys and Kinoko Teikoku live. And seeing Toe was something i really thought was never going to happen.
