  1. Urrrgghh damnit! That was a good one.
  2. Thanks for the heads up on Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. I would love to have the album, especially for $10. But like you said, given that the label is kaput, I wouldn't mind a code, either
  3. Thank you for the heads up, dood!! I've been going back and forth, debating whether or not to throw down about $50 for it... and now I don't have to. Pre-orded immediately.
  4. Unfortunately, I don't have it to sell. But bump for such a kick ass username.
  5. /\ This dude knows what he is talking about. Excellent suggestions.
  6. Nice! $7 for shipping though? Too bad they'll probably sell them only through the site..
  7. Yeah, I forgot Fry's has an OK new vinyl section. No used vinyl that I've seen, but good prices on the new stuff. I picked up Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E (RSD numbered copy) for like $17 and they had Modest Mouse - GNFPWLBD for $12. Half Priced Books is hit or miss... you really can find some gems, but you'll have to dig through tons of Barbara Streisand and America records to find them.
  8. Dude, there are a few you should check out. Good Records has a vast majority of new records and their used vinyl is just overpriced... What sounds like right up your alley though is Dead Wax Records in Carrollton. They don't have a website but you can find them on facebook. I love going in there. It's a small hole-in-the-wall, but their used selection is great for the size. They have fairly limited hours so be sure to check on that. I just found out about ZT Records in Frisco, but haven't been. They can also be found on facebook. Seem like they have a pretty good selection from what I saw on their page. Doc's in FW has a huge selection of used records... check it out if you can make it that far west. Another one with a giant selection is Forever Young in Grand Prairie. Huge. Lastly, Bill's Records. People either love it or hate it, but it's worth checking out and making your own decision. It reminds me of the old, smokey record stores from days past and the movies. Bill is pretty damn knowledgeable, too. And it's right in the heart of the downtown area. The above stores are pretty spread out geographically, so hopefully you can find one (or more!) close to where you end up in DFW. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions about any of the stores.
  9. Pretty Lights - A Color Map of the Sun (Finally able to snap a picture):
  10. I wasn't trying to be a dick, I'm sorry if it came across that way. I was trying to be funny :/ I agree with the fun/random idea - It would be very entertaining!
  11. Yeah, wording that a different way would have been better... haha
  12. Hahaha, its certainly not for everyone. Glad you at least like the riffs!
  13. That's more along what I wanted to pay for BT. Hell yeah! On another note, Amazon got in a few copies of None Shall Pass a few weeks ago.... I picked up a copy for $17.99 with free Prime 2-day shipping. Not too bad.
  14. Pretty Lights - A Color Map of the Sun Coheed and Cambria - The Afterman: Ascension The PL album is pure fuckin' brilliance.
  15. I definitely saw some deluxe editions/color vinyl, etc. when I was there. On another note, judging by your username I'm assuming you like Joy Division? If so, and you don't mind driving to Carrollton, you really need to go check out Dead Wax Records. They are a very small store, but the two guys who run it are awesome, and they actually specialize in darkwave stuff like Joy Div and New Order and more. That's not to say they don't have a great selection of other genres, but they have a better darkwave/ 80's synth selection than just about anywhere I've seen. Look them up on facebook. I love that place.
  16. Depending on what you are looking for, yeah it's a good shop. It has a huge country section, as I'm sure you can imagine with it being not only in Texas, but in Cowtown. I found the rock selection to be excellent, and I know the reggae section is decent. As with the majority of DFW stores, the hip-hop section is pretty sad. They had a better selection of new/ used new release records than alot of places when I was last there (April, I think?). Give yourself some time, they have alot to go through. Guys behind the counter are nice and helpful. They also have a bunch of random collectibles/oddities/music paraphernalia which is fun to browse. They have lots of used players sitting around too, most of which are for sale. Are you looking for an album/artist/genre in particular? Edit: TL;DR Yes
  17. Destroys is a good description. A glorious auditory assault. You'll have to let us know how you like it Ry Toast.
