Thought I'd post a picture of the test pressing for those still thinking about entering the raffle and haven't yet. This contest ends April 1st. The test pressings will come in a screen printed jacket and hand stamped / numbered side B label, limited to 18. Pictures of the final LPs should be posted in about a week and a half.

I just finished making these: - limited to 13 copies - full color print on extra heavy card stock - hand-numbered with gold ink - translucent black outline insert

I'm pretty close to finishing my Modern Life Is War collection and need to pick up each color pressing of the Stagger Lee 7" - can anybody help me out? I'm looking to buy rather than trade, and I need all of the colors, so please let me know

seamsplits? yeah i hate that! but I don't know, I feel like that is potentially unavoidable if they are shipped with some kind of protective plastic over the jacket. shrinkwrap is always going to be an issue for retail. but maybe mailorder copies can be shipped without shrinkwrap and just put in the plastic sleeves. that would also cut back on plastic waste too

i don't back any kind of shipping that involves my record being in the jacket. fuck shrinkwrap! I don't really have a problem having records shipped to me in the shrinkwrap or the jacket for that matter - it does nothing to the jacket that hasn't already been done when being packaged at the pressing plant or in shipment from the plant to the label.

As the dude who made the custom covers, and lost money doing the project, 5 bucks isn't that bad. Also I've got nothing to do with the band. I'm just a dude who made the covers so collectors would have some actual art. i like you for your money-losing endeavors - welcome to the team!

I think it was the fact that the records were sent without shrinkwrap or a plastic sleeve - so it was basically the jacket rubbing against the cardboard mailer. I see no problem sending LPs that are shrinkwrapped or in a plastic sleeve in a mailer without padding - perferrably with a cardboard flat - as records won't get messed up that way unless the actuall mailer is crushed, etc.

A friend of mine got a copy of this LP a few weeks back, it looks pretty nice. The jacket is simple, but the vinyl looks really nice

i just got mine in today, and i couldnt agree more I think a gatefold would have been nice, especially for $15 from the band or $20 from the label, but oh well. I haven't received my copies in the mail yet, but I checked out a friend's copy...I'm kinda bummed about the package as a whole. I wish the epic artwork could have been presented in a better package :-[ Oh well, great record nonetheless
