Anybody buy Madden this year?? I used to buy this game every year but the last 2 installments have been sub-par at best and it seems like the same game every year but with updated rosters. I am jonesin to play some football but worry this will be a turd. Anyone have it that wants to share some insight?
Same reason I skip at least a year. Was thinking about making the jump from NHL 13 to 14 to be on the same page as my friends, but they didn't really change anything at all this year.

Working my way through the Bond movies before they leave Netflix in a week. As long as I finish all the Connery ones I'll be happy.

If whoever reads this topic next doesn't jump on Weatherbox for that price and they still need it, they're insane.

Miami Comnection
Fan of B Movies? This one is awesome in all the right ways.

Five days left on my corn, god I can't wait for this to finish.

Oh good god! this is hitting my ears in all the right ways.
I watched this guy's live set on youtube a while back and its excellent. Cool to hear some studio recordings from him.
Here's the video:

I have a weird feeling about Quinn. Highly doubt he's the brain surgeon, but for some reason i feel like he killed the neighbor trying to set up Zack.

Finally ordered Last Of Us for $45...can't wait to get it in and start playing!

I'm finally doing the "Hitch 53 in 53" marathon – watching all 53 of Hitchcock's feature films in chronological order in 53 days. I'm presently 24 days in and 31 movies down.
Best silents: The Lodger, The Ring, and Blackmail.
Best british talkies: Blackmail, The 39 Steps, Sabotage, and The Lady Vanishes.
Watched two films today: Lifeboat, which is the first of his "single setting" movies and a pretty good wartime allegory; and Spellbound, which is one of my least favorite films of his from the Hollywood period, though it does have the great Dali dream sequence and that amazing point-of-view shot (ha!) at the end.
This is so awesome. I've seen most of his stuff but there's still a chunk of his earlier ones I haven't seen yet.

i was hoping Lies would be on it. Can't wait, all the other singles have been excellent too.

I saved up a bunch of money before tour under the assumption I would be unemployed for awhile when I got home but I managed to snag a job already so I've been treating myself to some games. I bought Civ 5 during the Steam sale and played one game that took me about 10 hours. It was fun but I can't see myself getting back into it. I've already gotten my money's worth though. Last night I finally broke down and got Minecraft after being a vocal hater for years and ended up playing for 5 hours with a friend. I will probably be spending most of my two weeks of pre-employment dicking around on there.
Thats half the fun of Civ! Playing again, maybe try to win with a different type of victory or play style, or try a completely different map that has different challenges.

Stay tuned, my friend. I believe they're getting there.
Also, wasn't there a movie about The Time Wars?
I think the 8th Doctor (aka the movie) was about it or leading up to it or something.

Is there any reasoning behind who gets sound bytes and who doesn't? Based on certain actors doing those voices? It seems like the main ones do (the Simpsons, Apu, etc) but why not Milhouse? Then you have a more obscure one like Herman having sound.
I've always wondered that too. It'd be so easy to add a clip of Edna going "HA!" but they don't.

I'm not opposed. It'll be cool to see an older Doctor for a change instead of getting progressively younger. I think I'm more excited to see whats up with John Hurt though.

Couple episodes in on the new series. Having trouble with the "sloppiness" of this show. You have aliens that bumble around played by guys in suits then fluidly when they switch to CG. So obvious. The controls of the tardis seem like a kid playing bop it.
Still watching, just venting.
The first season of the reboot (with Eccleston) is super cheesy. It gets better by the time Tennant comes around. Hang in there!

That Peregrine test auction...*drools*

Threatening to "let our lawyer take care of it" a lot of times is enough to scare them off from shit like that. Like Duff said, call their bluff.

Also it still drives me crazy that "Doctor" is abbreviated in the thread title.
Come on rudeboy, do your fellow Whovians a solid? haha
-
Is that all you have seen or did you go back later?
Anyone seen everything and have a recommendation?
I started with the reboot (Eccleston as the 9th Doctor) and caught up, now working my way through the original episodes. 9 is a safe starting point because that's where the majority of this generation of fans started.
What books are you reading?

that's why they call him Haruki "The Sex-Obsessed Teenager" Murakami. 1Q84 has so much sex in it, it's crazy. in that one it's semi-relevant to the plot though haha.
