  1. Kool. Peeps here seem to have great attitudes and open minds. I dig it. Anybody here like Kool Keith?
  2. Nice! Somebody posted Maker's. I used to drink Rum & Coke, but now drink Jack & Coke, or Gentleman's Jack if I've got a puffy wallet. Shortly after making my switch from Rum to Whiskey I came across the Murder City Devils song, Rum and Whiskey. Badass song. Favorite shot, either Maker's Mark or Crown Royal.
  3. Does anyone here like Motor or other indie electronic music?
  4. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band The Dwarves are Young and Good Looking London Calling BS2000 Harry Belafonte - Jump Up Calypso
  5. Thriller! My mom bought that record, but it was hers I used to (and still) listen to that album
  6. Orange, CA ha! I was born in Orange. What's with the Karma thing? btw, my first cd's were MC Hammer and C&C Music Factory
  7. Mine was Ill Communication by the Beastie Boys. Black vinyl unfortunately.
  8. Serling's a good one. (Love the TZone) Richard Pryor J.R. Cash
  9. Hot Snakes were good, but nothing compares do Rocket. By far the best live band I've ever seen. I saw them in 96 for the first time, then lastly at their last ever show in Diego. 6 times total I think. I picked up Hot Charity at Amoeba (Hollywood) for $10 sealed. Damn good price. Circa:Now! is probably their best overall album, but the first 5 tracks on Group Sounds is pretty amazing. State of Art is pretty flawless too. Yep. Pretty much one of the best bands EVER! Hot Snakes is good too though. Jehu too. But Rocket is best. K, bye. L
  10. Pink Floyd - Meddle $1 Pink Floyd - More $1 A3 - Goddamnit (sp?) $8 A3 - Maybe I'll Catch Fire (orange) $10 My buddy got Sun Dials for $50. He wants to give it to me but I feel bad. I offered a bill for it.
  11. Cypress Hill (self titled ) Orig. press. Ebay.
  12. I don't have any Otis Redding on vinyl. I've got one of his cd's though. I also have Bitches Brew ($15). Any midwesterners here? Anyone ever heard of the Exclusive Company? It's a decent record shop that carries indie cd's and vinyl. They used to have (may still) full length brand new albums for only $6.99. That's crazy! I passed up Tomahawk's first album there. My dumb ass. Still looking for that one.
  13. I dig me some JSBX. The remix album is pretty good. BELLBOTTOMS! BELLBOTTOMS!
  14. I do a lot of Goodwill St. Vinnies hunting. What are some of your best finds? Mine may have to be (although not punk) a mint Miles Davis Kind of Blue for $1.
  15. I'd like to listen to them more, but I've got 3 turntables hooked up in 2 rooms right now. My roomie has 2 more upstairs. Once and a while (usually after a few Jack and Cokes) I'll put on my Pollywog Stew 45. I don't play that one very much though. All else if fair game anytime.
  16. Guy on the street was like, "Hey, check this out." Now I'm here. I like it.
