  1. Sorry to barge in but... any big, serious Southern Lord record collectors here? For the first time in years I went thru all my LP's purchased between July, 2004 - Sept, 2012 and have over 70, sealed, color pressings with receipts to sell. The updated list will be available soon. The last time someone picked thru my SL collection was 2009 and I actually doubled the collection size after selling those 16 LP's. Also have a stack of 7's, shirts and cd's to throw in as bonus gifts or add-ons. Serious buyers only as I would prefer one large sale over dozens of packages. Anyone interested in a large, serious, private sale, and fill in some SL collector gaps, send me a PM. Dave
  2. ^^^ That sounds like every politician in office. Remember we have the worst political class in our history.
  3. But wasting 1.2 Trillion on broken, useless and now forgotten obama-tax-care state web exchanges was a great excuse to line the pockets of politically connected lobbyists.
  4. That is absolutely the result of obama-tax-care passed exclusively using tricks and gimmicks by the D's, then upheld by changing the wording for a "they got something bad on me" Roberts court. The "bullshit" insurance companies are the people who are in bed with the D's and reaping massive profits then contributing to them in return. Potemkin Villages all the way down.
  5. The old, white geezer, and self-described socialist is not even a demo-rat. He is a party of 1. So he would have to LOWER his standards to be in a primary with the old, white hag. This country, with the worst political class ever and lap-dog media, is so out of wack (and in collusion) that we deserve clinton-bush or trump-sanders. Embrace the suck.
  6. Here is the exact opposite performance. Say your going to do one song, play another. https://youtu.be/-vzrErgBTOw

  8. I just signed up for my first-time premium subscription here on the East Coast. After a few streaming glitches everything works great and I enjoy the out-of-market games more than anything else. Your "local" team is blocked on video stream but audio is always available (at least on my PC while working). So far the best feature for me is switching between games depending on inning and score. Saw my first R.A. Dickey performance the other night when he was dominating the Yankees for six innings. Seeing guys I have not seen much of before for a few hours every night, and having access to day games, is worth the price for me.
  9. I simply need to clear space and decided to offer what is left of my GBV-Pollard collection + other stuff. All LP’s have been stored carefully since purchase and have not been played, almost all of them are sealed and new. Any questions, just ask. Ebay id is mac1vinyl and please no “punishers”. Will negotiate for larger orders. 11. There should be a feedback score (for sellers) about all buyers. Every buyer starts at 0 and every time they complain about a transaction, get an item credited, leave negative or neutral feedback, the number should go up to warn sellers that this buyer has the potential for trouble. As a seller if I saw the buyer had a buyer feedback of (2) or greater I would cancel the transaction and immediately block that bidder from all future transactions. Can anyone write an app for that? The problem with ebay is they protect, and hide, the complaint history of buyers. Right now the only chance a seller has of finding (and blocking) a consistently bad buyer is through "feedback left for others" which I now check for every sale. Will the OP please post his ebay name.
  12. As a seller, I just went through the same crap with a buyer who consistently uses this condition trick for "Free" records. I should have checked his "feedback left for others" and just cancelled the transaction. Lesson learned. The jerk, known as "musiccollectors" from Oregon, should have just been happy when I offered half the cost of the $12 Thin Lizzy record, listed a VG, as a refund. Instead he gets ebay to pay for the record, but I kept his $14, and THEN he goes and leaves Negative Feedback. What a dick. I call this technique, "playing the condition card". All this crap (on both ends) for a f-ing $10 Thin Lizzy record. Gimme a break. As a buyer, I have never left negative feedback. Yea, I have felt like I got ripped off a few bucks but, so what, I don't buy from that seller again. Or by leaving negative feedback do you feel you will "save the world" from this evil, awful seller who sent you a VG record that was listed as EX. What about the sleeve? Does that condition count or not? Feedback should not be allowed for "throwaway" items that cost under $20. A $100 record will be handled much better, with higher expectations, than a "lightly used" record. What is your ebay name (original post)? I noticed you never mentioned the record condition (G, VG, EX, NM) or if you actually played the record to tell us about the sound, just that his grading did not match your grading system. You should have just walked away and NOT left any feedback.
  13. Hell Yea, saw these guys twice in Boston. Got a set of sealed LP's sitting upright in a bin right now. Twilight as played by The Twilight Singers was never available on vinyl. Teenage Wristband, from Blackberry Belle, is one of my all-time favorite songs.
  14. Does Belichick (again) let the best kicker in football go? Gostkowski is only field goal kicker since Vinatieri. Amazing.
  15. Had a chance to watch the NFL films short version of the end of the game. This is the show where they let you hear what the players were saying and more sideline reaction from coaches. Even better to watch as a Pats fan to see the "inside" information between the players. The main point of this post is there was a segment showing Sherman going up to Brady (as he was having a thank-you-on-one-knee moment) congratulating him and saying he is a great player. Did not see that exchange anywhere else. Immediately changed my perception of the man who was about to become a father. Good stuff between competitors.
  16. As a ebay seller I am adding a contingent that I will research your feedback as a buyer and if you have frequently left feedback complaining about condition, sound or manufacturing defects on any LP or music transaction I reserve the right to cancel any purchases from me and will not send you any items. And, In all likelihood, block you as a bidder from any of my items.
  17. Seem to be VG or better to me. Clean and actually Play the record (instead of just looking) before any complaining that you got a VG- or G record. There is usually a reason the record is priced a little lower. There are three full grades (EX, NM, M) above and a couple more below (Good, Fair, Poor). This is taken from ebay UK. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/VINYL-RECORD-GRADING-GUIDE-/10000000001916909/g.html
  18. Is this a new thing? The buyer asks a question about condition of a relatively cheap used record and if you played the LP, condition is listed at VG because of fingerprints and a few smudges but no scratches, offer to give back a few bucks if not satisfied, buyer purchases immediately for about $12. 5 Days later a case is opened stating condition was greatly over-rated and that the record would damage his turntable then demands a full refund, offer $6, he refuses, ebay says hold tight we are reviewing the case. The next morning ebay says case is settled and have reimbursed him thru "buyer protection" and will let me, as the seller, keep the full purchase amount. Huh. What? He, of course, immediately leaves negative feedback even after getting the LP for free. Next I check his "feedback left for others" and he has consistently done the same thing over the months and years leaving negative feedback and then stating "ebay paid me anyway". He has been a member since 2000. Is the word out this "scam" actually works? Ebay Seller warning. Stay away from "musiccollectors" on ebay and purchases from Matt Olson from Beaverton, OR.
  19. How about #58 for Indy getting plastered on a punt return and spitting up blood on his way out of the game? Whoa. To me, the most exciting play of any game is the on-side kick. Almost never works, always by the team that is losing, and there is just chaos for 5 seconds to secure the ball and the game. The best kickers try to kick the ball as high as possible at 12-14 yards away, on a bounce or not, and exactly as played yesterday.
  20. On one of the goal-to-go attempts, originally ruled a TD, the replay official did his job and got the call correct. Cost GB points.
  21. GB played the worst final 6 minutes of any game, ever. Start with Sherman gets hurt (can't even lift his shoulder or elbow) and GB stays away, I mean not even look his way to throw or run the ball. Not once. Same series, 3rd down play with 5:30 left, just run the ball to take 40 seconds off the clock, but no - GB throws a pass, short of the first down, that the guy drops and the clock stops. This bonehead move gave Seattle at least two more plays before the 2 minute warning. Then the guy just plain wiffing at the on-side kick, which was done to absolute perfection by the kicker. Then the ridiculous 2-point conversion as #21 just lets the guy catch the ball. And then to top everything off, they missed the coin toss (again). Just unbelievable. Congrats Seattle, you won the game you were supposed to lose, and will be hard to topple now.
  22. DeBlasio is an idiot Democrat. Unfortunately all issues, at least with the new media, are now political. A skeptic would say this is about what so-called leader is going to represent this liberal-progressive-hate-the-government-but-always-vote-for-more-control base of voters in the next election. The D's just got completely wiped out at the midterms and a giant void has been created. The media fight between sharpton, obozo, holder, aclu and all the other race-baiters is getting nasty and only one will survive as The Voice. Looks like deblasio is out of the running. .
  23. Hmm. Guess we know what type of writers should NOT apply at FiveThirtyEight? Diversity, that's for everyone else. http://fivethirtyeight.com/contributors/
