  3. I have more than a couple different prints from Tiny Showcase available. Limited prints are approximately 5" x 7" and more information can be found on their web site. Each print below is $15 PPD in the US. The prints are from the first couple of years and I have more. None have been removed from their original packaging.
  4. After some back and forth with U-Turn on upgrading a "used" table I ended up with an extra new, unused acrylic platter. Available for $44 PPD in US. List price is $90 on site. Send me a PM if interested.
  5. Ah, the memories. http://reason.com/blog/2014/09/11/watch-each-of-the-last-four-presidents-a
  6. I too have had worries about selling sealed LP's. Non-gatefold single LP's are usually not an issue but a 2x LP gatefold can sometimes be a problem (the Japandroids - Celebration Rock & Melvins - Nude With Boots are some examples). Here is what I add to my ebay listings to any gatefold LP that might have an issue: [sEALED LP’S] Important information on purchasing limited, sealed LP’s from me. I am not responsible for manufacturer issues including warped vinyl, wrongly labeled colors or audio issues on the vinyl records I sell. I am not a record manufacturer, label or high volume reseller but only a collector who will occasionally sell records. Almost always I am selling my only copy. Therefore, I must set additional limits on returning sealed LP’s. After paying for your record I will open and verify any color or condition a buyer requests BEFORE sending the LP. If you receive a SEALED LP and think there will be any condition issue I will give a FULL REFUND and pay for RETURN SHIPPING as long as the item is still factory sealed. But if you open a sealed LP and find a MANUFACTURING ISSUE unacceptable, a return will only be accepted with a 20% restocking fee and return shipping must be paid by the buyer. Bottom Line: All SEALED LP’s must be returned in the same condition to receive full refund and return shipping. Do not purchase a sealed record from me unless you will accept this additional condition.
  7. The seller insisted on a Gift, or friends and family, payment which I believe is harder to dispute. Hence the "what's your address" questions instead of the Paypal Shipping option automatically sending out tracking information to the buyer.
  8. I purchased this in March 2004 from the estate of Rick Van Santen, who was a concert promoter from Los Angeles. This poster has been rolled up sitting in a storage bin since but last weekend I went to Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon, picked up a solid 18 x 24 frame (list price $50) and asked them to cut me a custom mat in bright white. Could not have been easier and all for under $40. This poster is not signed or numbered but really does pop. I really wanted this because the date is also my birthday. 9. The $6,000 - $8,000 deductibles and are just fantastic. Every one of my friends who work got screwed and are now paying more with a higher deductible. Nothing is covered until you hit that mark. My wife does medical billing and the horror stories are just beginning. Nothing like a free-loader calling up saying "I have obamacare give me an appointment" knowing full well there is no such policy. The stupid is just starting. If I were younger without a family I would take the tax penalty. The law is not really a law, just a tax that can be changed by executive order. Just wait until employers wash their hands by dropping HC and giving you a "bonus" to buy obamacare. You should notice most people pushing this crap are not buying a obamaTAXcare program but getting Gold Star private policies thru their employers. If the program was so good how come no Federal, State or Municipal employees are required to purchase policies? Why has a Billion dollars been wasted on corrupt, dysfunctional state exchanges?
  10. Guitar Pedals sounds like a very competitive field. If your company is successful. Are you going to become the rich, white dickhead you complained about? Or does that label not apply to people like you? Hope you didn't have to move in Mom's basement to offset the startup costs. Good luck to anyone trying to start a new business and lease on life. Worked for me after 9/11 and I have never been in an office since that day. Even with a marriage, mortgage and 3-year-old daughter all bearing down us, my wife ALWAYS encouraged me with positive feedback. The only jerks about my decision were my mother and younger brother who worked as a negative team against my family. They hate that I am mildly successful. My family finally had enough from them and "lost" contact with them and their negative vibe quickly after my father passed away. Another great decision. Never made as much money but the freedom of working for yourself, and the extra effort required to succeed, is NOT under-rated. Need luck and hard work with balls of steel in this economy. All the best.
  11. If this pressing included the bonus Live LP, on colored vinyl, the collectors would be a little more excited at the posted price as the live LP is OOP on white vinyl. No other version of Bleach is numbered and currently no other color versions are in print. There was a UK pressing a few years ago (980..) in a few versions (black + white 11-track, limited 13 track and clear) that sold moderately well, now oop, and not too high on collectors list as the vinyl was very thin and, to me, felt cheap. As someone who owns this LP on every official color of SP pressings (except the unofficial iceburg version) I will not go out of my way to pick this up at $28. But if I got to Newbury, get 20% off, and can walk out without paying shipping, then yes I will purchase. To much other good music available. My buddy owns a consignment shop, and I stock new LP's in the "record room", but he gets calls every week from new collectors looking for "original" 90's vinyl for cheap. He always laughs, while stating "who doesn't", and tells the caller there are tons of boxes for digging. The record shows I do always bring a few of the same folks. A couple of weeks ago everyone ignored my Mudhoney LP's and the only OG 90's LP that went involved a trade with Andy from The Saddest Landscape who, surprise surprise, also collects OG 90's vinyl. But I did "dig" an OG black vinyl Bleach (EX, $25), OG US Nevermind (VG, $35) and a Replacements, Sorry Ma..(VG, $30) plus had my best selling day in 4 years. My point. This pressing will sell to people who want a color or numbered version of Bleach. But, if buying to flip, some collectors may be disappointed that the value and will not skyrocket overnight.
  12. A MMF 2.1 unit is for sale on Boston Craigslist for $200 and located in Hampton, NH. I would grab this if I were closer and not a 2-hour ride each way. http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ele/4378933147.html
  13. The slightly beat MMF 5.1se I got a few years ago was missing the counterweight, power supply, busted dust cover, transport screws and belt changing tool. Between Music Direct and Needle Doctor I was able to get almost all the missing pieces shipped with no problems. The post above is correct, the Pro-ject counterweight will take care of your missing piece. The only item I have been unable to track down are the 3 Transport Screws. I wrote MMF customer service in March, 2012 and got a response from Roy Hall himself. Shocked with the quick response but when I followed up he never wrote again. Here is the e-mail. The adapter is $40 plus shipping, transport screws (if available $10) and belt changing tool, $12 plus shipping Roy Hall Music Hall 108 Station Rd. Can I purchase a power supply, transport screws, belt changing tool, and other small items from you guys? Or a nearby dealer? Dave
  14. Yawn....time for a weekend of golf and sun in Florida. Oh look..up in the sky...Global warming.
  15. Two weeks ago on craigslist I saw an ad for a U-Turn Table and immediately responded. Turns out the guy is leaving the company, returning to Portland, and was selling the TT he built himself. Two days later I took the trip to Boston and got myself the TT in black with MDF and Acrylic Platter, two belts, two motors (one black, one white), dustcover, power pack, rca cords and was mounted with a Oroton OM5E for a reasonable price. Unplugged my MMF 5.1e and have been using the unit consistently for two weeks. I am not an audiophile but have progressed over the last 10 years from a Crosley all-in-one unit, LP60, JVC Q4 (direct drive 80's unit), MMF 5.1 and have finally settled on a slightly beat MMF 5.1e with Oroton Blue cartridge. The last two units were purchased from CL. For anyone near Boston or NH there is an MMF 2.1 ad right now for $265. My quick thoughts. Although the hardware does not have the extras of the 5.1 such as adjustable feet, built-in level or cue, the unit is nice and I like being able to see the belt and hardware spinning the platter. Kinda strange that the motor is in a rubber gasket and moves around a little (not solid as on the 5.1). My unit does need a little quick spin to get moving but I can live with that non-perfect start. Also after about a week the belt seemed to slip a little and I just put the belt back in the plastic bag with some sort of powder, re-installed, and all was good again. Regarding the non-starting issue, I tied both motors but neither made a difference, the combination just would not go when the on button is pushed. Of course I had to ask him "what is taking so long for all the orders.?" His response was that they get 1000 pieces of an item but if something is off by a millimeter the piece is not good and the company has to wait weeks for the replacement part. Stated 5 guys work in the factory. He would not tell me what he is going back to Portland to do but said we will be hearing about his new adventure soon enough. With all that said. The bottom line is this unit sounds as good as my MMF 5.1e and will be on my porch in the summer. Very happy with the purchase. Also I am done with the computer for tonight and will be back tomorrow to post photos or answer any questions in the morning.
  16. After a 15 year break from owning any records I sent $18 to Skunk Records in 1998 for 40 oz. to Freedom. At the time I did not even own a TT and just used push pins to hang the record on the wall. About 3 years later I purchased an all-in-one Crosley Unit and finally played the LP in 2001. Still own the record, with two pin holes, and will be the last LP I ever sell or give away.
  17. Anyone else think Putin may have seen this gem and simply said to himself "this guy is going to stop me, this guy". ..... many people caught Obama’s interview by Costas about the Olympics, and they asked a very reasonable question: Was Obama stoned during the interview. http://theblacksphere.net/2014/02/obama-stoned-interview-olympics/ oh no, good time for distraction.. now ladies and gentlemen Mr. Conway Twitty.
  18. Here is why Ikea is discontinuing vinyl collectors favorite shelf. Just imagine, they use 1% of the worlds wood supply and cutting just a millimeter on the width of the shelf will save massive costs. http://gizmodo.com/heres-why-ikea-is-discontinuing-everyones-favorite-sh-1527126312 Update: Ikea has released images of Kallax, and it looks pretty damn nice. The company also comments that the surface will be more scratch-resistant and more child-friendly, thanks to a slight corner bevel. Crucially, Kallax is described as "a new name" for Expedit.
  19. Recent purchase from a craigslist seller: Say Anything - Is a Real Boy - Solid Yellow, Yellow Marble MGMT - Solid sleeve, scratch off cover (not removed) Wonder Years - Upsides on Purple Mountain Goats - Sunset Tree and Tallahassee Floor 8x CD set (LP sleeve) plus a Boris - Heavy, Thin Lizzy, Blitzen Trapper and Chinese Stars LP's. Wanted $60 but gave him $80 Another stop yielded: Smith - Meat Is Murder Gun Club - Miami Gun Club - Fire of Love + Death Pary Violent Femmes s/t Cure - (3) 12" singles + Boys Don't Cry All for $2 each.
  20. but... the Broncos set two more individual SB records. Most completions by a QB (34) most receptions by receiver (12). The NFC is that much better right now. The Pats would have been ripped the same way, even again SF. Did they interview Sherman and his busted knee after the game? Karma buddy.
  21. Got my missing second copy of the s/t vinyl today. Just as the e-mail from customer service said they would. So happy to have this LP and my order completed.

  23. Good and bad news. The package arrived via USPS in LP box with "extra" postage attached. The postage may have been the hold-up in SF as the printed label said First Class and pretty sure you cannot send anything over 16 oz. via this method. But crap, they only packed one of the two self-titled copies I ordered. Not looking forward to working with "customer service" to clear this up.
  24. My USPS tracking number states package was processed thru Providence. Definitely getting something next week. Can't wait.
