  1. I gotta say Sons w/ Fringe a close second. True Blood is a cheese fest and Anna Paquin only makes it worse. She stinks up everything she's in. Boooooooo True Blood.
  2. The one time I went to LA was for Coachella and my gf and I rented a manual car b/c that's what we both always drove. Well we landed at LAX around 4pm on a weekday and spent the next four hours in bumper to bumper traffic. It is a massive pain in the ass to have a stick-shift in those circumstances.
  3. What do you have for NMH? I was thinking about getting the airplane/phonograph.
  4. I took an old console record player, took the guts out, and cut out the front and put a shelf in.
  5. Its one of those things where you benefit from full-immersion. It shouldn't take more than a few days to get it down.
  6. I also was very let down by the New Pornographers-Challengers.
  7. I'm glad to hear someone else digs Cave Singers.
  8. ^^^And they're using "Electric Warrior" for the soundtrack.
  9. The Amps always get overshadowed by The Breeders.
  10. What I always loved about Nirvana was their b-sides. Most bands of that era just put out studio albums, but Nirvana had a lot of output that never went on commerically released albums. I have their singles collection, which has most of my fave songs by them. Even In His Youth, Curmudgeon, Endless Nameless, etc. I was so glad when most of those didn't show up on the box set.
  11. My absolute favorites of the era actually came out late 80s, but I have to mention Jane's Addiction-Nothing's Shocking and Sonic Youth-Daydream Nation
  12. You should be offering money to take this turd off your hands.
  13. It's funny you were the first to reply. I was thinking I had good luck with the other post I did like this. Thanks again, man.
  14. The Day I Tried To Live is one of the best f-ing songs of that era.
  15. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....DON'T SAY 'vinyl'!!!
  16. First of all, In Utero blows Nevermind out of the water. Second, are we talking indie alternative ie: Pavement, Archers, etc.? If so, too many to count. If not, I'd like to nominate STP: Tiny Music, Songs from the vatican Gift Shop as an unsung hero. Also Blind Melon-Soup.
  17. If you're ever in Tampa, Vinyl Fever is tits. Sound Exchange is good too. And there's a place called MOJO that's improving rapidly. They also have an awesome selection of used books.
