  1. Beyond stoked. http://dismembermentplan.com/news/dismemberment-plan-to-release-uncanney-valley-lp-on-october-152_429 EDIT: Uncanney Valley...my bad.
  2. Ordered. Superchunk's post-hiatus material has been among their best, imo.
  3. So unbelievably stoked for this. PO is up on Amazon, btw.
  4. The Thermals--Desperate Ground www.saddle-creek.com/digitalvinyl Code: QTMESO0A UPC: 648401018615 *This one I know I didn't use because I just got it today and carried it from the tt to the laptop for posting. So if you use it, be a class act and let folks know.
  5. Lame. Sorry, man. May have been me, honestly. It's been sitting in a pile for a lil bit.

  7. Between this and Thermals represses and impulse buys, I'm not going to have any scratch for RSD. Thanks for the heads up, though.
  8. Love me some Watts. The Wisdom of Insecurity is great. I went through a phase of reading Western Buddhist stuff not long ago. Stephen Batchelor is really good. Joseph Goldstein and Jack Kornfield are pretty good. Going on Being by Mark Epstein is easily my favorite book from that genre. As an atheist, I appreciate the lack of dogma in most of the Western Buddhists' writing.
  9. Lyric sheet is a print of handwritten lyrics, so I guess it's art or something, I dunno. Not enough for me to shell out $30 for an LP that will be readily available. I just thought some folks would be interested.
  10. Pre-order comes with an instant track download. LP ships with a print of a handwritten lyric sheet. Not too shabby. http://www.ironandwine.com/ghostonghost EDIT: $7.50 for shipping...what in the everlasting fuck? Guh.
  11. It's up now. http://www.shopradiocast.com/products/At-The-Drive-In-%252d-Acrobatic-Tenement-LP.html
  12. I got the deluxe ed. The packaging looks awesome but it's a serious pain in the dick getting the record in and out of the die-cut outer sleeve. Pretty sure I'm going to rip it at some point.
  13. The Bronx--IV Mogwai--Mr. Beast Cursive--Burst & Bloom | Yellow & Black Cursive--The Ugly Organ | 1st Press Local Natives--Hummingbird | Deluxe Ed. The Swarm--Parasitic Skies 10" Paul Simon--S/T
  14. I've been looking for Ruiner for awhile. You'll be hard pressed to find one for 30 bones. There's a copy on Discogs for $120
  15. The Breeders are doing a reunion tour. I'm a little meh about Last Splash in its entirety. I like Pod better. Still, it's The Breeders. Anyone else stoked for this? http://pitchfork.com/news/49439-the-breeders-extend-last-splash-anniversary-tour/
  16. Yeah man, the first time I saw him was at a lit festival in NY. He sat next to me while Richard Hell was doing a reading. it was the only time in my life I've been starstruck. Haha.
  17. Love this book. Got to see him read from it a couple times.
  18. Tenth of December: Stories by George Saunders. Best short fiction since Raymond Carver, in my opinion. Just gave up on Telegraph Avenue by Michael Chabon. Pretty disappointed because he'd been one of my favorites in the past and I'd heard a lot of good things about this book.
  19. This may be off point, but I'm vegetarian and was eating at Loving Hut the other day and heard all this stuff on their TV about "Supreme Master." I did some wiki-ing and found that LH is operated by an accused cult leader. I did some more detectivizing and found only standard follower-fleecing cult stuff, but nothing that would make me want to boycott LH. Has anyone heard of anything really sinister done by Ching Hai or her followers? I ask because I try to be socially conscious with my spending and, as much as I'm pro-animal rights, I'm more pro-human rights, so I don't want to contribute to a cult that is committing any human rights abuses, even if their food is super yummy.
  20. Thanks, dudes. I've always loved the sound of Rhodes' and I have leaned toward getting one. But I'm not sure if it would fit with the music I'm doing now. If I go digital, does anyone have any suggestions?
  21. Just realized e.e. cummings hasn't been rep'd yet. My favorite: who knows if the moon's a balloon, coming out of a keen city in the sky--filled with pretty people? ( and if you and I should get into it, if they should take me and take you into their balloon, why then we'd go up higher with all the pretty people than houses and steeples and clouds: go sailing away and away sailing into a keen city which nobody's ever visited, where always it's Spring) and everyone's in love and flowers pick themselves
