Celebration Day had delay after delay as well. That time the entire release was pushed back several times though.

F'n B&N. Still waiting on the Zeppelin reissues, and they screwed me on another order. Grabbed three Doors albums. They shipped the two I paid for and delayed the third free one. They cancelled it yesterday due to unavailability. They wouldn't substitute another album of the same cost for the free one, and wouldn't discount the cost of the third album from my order. Their solution? 10% off my order....which would equate to $5 as opposed to the $23.74 I was saving.

Anyone pre-order the new Tom Petty album, Hypnotic Eye? Warner is at it again. A deluxe 180g 2LP version (with extra track ) for $52 and a standard 140g single LP version for $27. Ugh.
Was just posting that. Outrageous pricing.

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't seen it. Tom Petty's upcoming album is up for preorder. Looks like there is a limited variant being sold only through tompetty.com. 180 gram 2LP that includes an extra track. Music spread out acrossed 3 sides, with side D being etched. Price is extremely steep at $51.98 plus 9 bucks shipping, but judging by his albums since the mid Nineties, it will only get more expensive as time goes on.
Amazon has the 'non-limited' single LP variant for 26 bucks.

Anyone find a cheaper option? Shipping is over 13 bucks for me. The only other place I was able to find was music direct. They have it listed at 11.99 with 7 dollar shipping. I've never ordered from either place though....

Days of the New
Hell yes. At least yellow.
-
Yeah. B-sides definitely weren't included with my download.
-
My US copy is very light as well. 171 grams on disc 1. 182 grams on disc 2. Both weights are disc only.
-
I didn't even think of them reneging on the B2G1 deal. Great.
-
Careful with these guys. They seem to always fail on delivering the ordered product. Gave them a couple year break after the last ordeal. Just ordered something from them last week, only to have to email them days after the "expected ship date" passed, for them to tell me tha tthey didn't receive the order notice and they had updated the status of my order. I go to check it out.... Order cancelled.

B&N sent an email out for each album this morning. All "Delayed". No further info from them.

2 coworkers of mine bought all 3 of these during the buy 2 get the 3rd free deal. Both have their orders marked as shipped but when they click on the details it says only I and II shipped. Anyone else seeing this?
Nope. Ordered the morning of May 25th. None of mine have shipped.

Dammit. Amazon.de still hasn't shipped my copy.
-
looks like this is delayed on amazon.de without estimated delivery date
It shows 8 in stock right now.....Mine still says delivery 6/12-6/17 like it has said.
-
I'm going to get Zeppelin I and II and cancel my Amazon pre-order, just can't figure out what to get for free, maybe Nirvana - Nevermind. Getting some good suggestions from this thread though!
What about LZIII?
Has anyone actually had an order ship yet? I've got several orders in. One I put in yesterday that says it will ship today. Hasn't shipped yet.
-
Hard to say. Stock images are the same.Included tracks are the same. Says 180 gram and gatefold sleeve on German Amazon. No mention of download code.
One difference I noticed is the tracks on disc 2. German site says 5 tracks on A, 4 on B. US site says 4 on A and 5 on B.

Amazon.de is roughly 16 bucks cheaper than the US Amazon. $34.30 shipped as of right now. Comes out this Friday as well.

I purchased mine through wowhd (thats my international pre order go to, never missed coloured vinyl yet). It still hasnt arrived in New Zealand, picking it will be here any day now. Cross fingers no surface noise (as it is MOV).
Keep the reviews coming on this one, would love to hear how it compares to the RSD version...
You run into surface noise a lot with MOV pressings? I've got all of the MOV Alice in Chains, two of the Stone Temple Pilots, the Zombie 45, and probably more. I've NEVER had a surface noise issue.
-
Not sure if it's any different in the US but all of my PF albums are early pressings and sound awesome (save for some very slight noise on Meddle). Paid between £5-10 for each of them and wasn't even "hunting" for them. I've seen loads of them in record fairs that all look at least VG+.
It is not the same in the States (at least in the midwest). Find me a legit copy of Piper or Saucer in VG+ or better for that price, and with overseas shipping I guarantee I would still be ahead. Hell, just look at Ebay. Prices wouldn't go so high on the PF stuff if it was easy to walk into any old record store and find a satisfactory copy of their albums at a reasonable price.

Price on 2XLP is ridiculous. I'm really glad I don't want this.
Could be worse. Take The Wall reissue for example.

Makes sense to not leave rest out especially IV since Stairway is their flagship song to many people. Found this:
As Led Zeppelin promote the extravagant reissues of their first three albums for an early June release, a lawyer representing deceased Spirit guitarist Randy California is claiming the hard-rock legends stole the intro for their 1971 single "Stairway to Heaven" from Spirit's 1968 song "Taurus." Attorney Francis Alexander Molofiy wants to prevent the release of the Led Zeppelin IV reissue when the time comes, Bloomberg Businessweek reports. "The idea behind this is to make sure that Randy California is given a writing credit on 'Stairway to Heaven,'" Malofiy said. "It's been a long time coming."
Saw that today as well.

No Amazon UK Links available yet? as a Canadian I find items much cheaper on there, Amazon.ca is terrible selection and price wise.
I wish they would do a proper Piper reissue..
UK links available on page 2.
