  1. Ha. Had the Toke wax mage variant in my cart and was about to finalize but just couldn't do it. Even so, could have missed it as it sold out in a minute. It's a solid album, just nothing exceptional as all the songs sound the same. No reason to mull over missing some fancy wax. (Obviously trying to convince myself that I would not have paid that amount, had I unlimited funds for amassing the collection. The recently pulled wisdom teeth played their part no doubt.) Actually thinking of putting aside some money to get the Leviathan Scar Sighted art box (125$ shipped over here). Not many of those around and that is one record (with art to boot) that is an absolutely visceral experience on all levels. Anyone got one? Any of you interested, STB has a good sale going on. Everything in the store is 15% and he found some leftover copies of the Geezer DH variant as well. Also, this http://monofonuspress.com/how-to-live-like-a-king-for-very-little-by-thor-harris
  2. Yeah it's been up for a month or so now and sure do hate the fact that they chose to go through Pledgemusic. As much as I love All Them Witches I'm not spending 70$ (40$ for shipping) on a LTD colour of an LP . Seems like they've been selling quite slow so far.
  3. Any of you internet-savvy capable of finding a discount code to run with Fire Records? New Noveller coming out and on bandcamp there's space left to enter a discount code. Shouldn't that mean there's one that's currently active out there? I checked Fire Records' FB site and googled around but no cigar. https://novellermusic.bandcamp.com/album/a-pink-sunset-for-no-one
  4. Yes and yes. My sentiments exactly. Going off what happened after the post-rock chalice tipped, it seems a shift in genre-focus is in order again then, soon. Speaking of post-rock and chalice...Grails' new album should bring something new to the table at least. Also, new Dopelord. Which doesn't really push any boundaries either but it does veer close to Steve Brooks territory on the vocals which was kind of neat for a second or few.
  5. You realize that the pre-orders go up for the first record, right? Starting to find the weed-worshipping genre to be way over-saturated and some of it just seems redundant. /saltybastard I probably just need to hear something exceptional that pushes boundaries, which I can't recall a stoner album having done for a long while now. Might just be that I'm over the whole genre.
  6. Fuuuuuuuu. Postponed purchasing this and then remembered yesterday that the TRL20 code stops being valid in the New Year. Oh well. Still wish they didn't include the unnecessary tid-bits cranking the price up.
  7. Insane indeed. Thanks for the mention by the way ! Really digging this a lot.
  8. Thanks a ton for this! Even with the UK shipping, the price for the double LP is so high it still rounds out at 45$ shipped. Would've been difficult to justify without the code. Then again, it's Grails. $16.50 for shipping is not that bad. Usually it's more like around 25$ for a double. Could do without the 7" and guitar pick though. Very stoked about the announcement, really dug the expanded Black Tar Prophecies.
  9. Black Tomb shouldn't arrive before New Year so I think you're good to wait.
  10. France, one great distro. Dude Ewenn who runs it is a top bloke and is always doing his best to help out and going beyond really.
  11. Damn it. Still caved and bought the other Cough album. I kind of wanted it though and justified it to myself merely on the basis of the 40% code still working after considering and sleeping on the decision. Next time I'll be stronger. We need some sort of accountability thing. Also, my Sabbath list based on those which I consider myself acquainted enough with to rate. 13 S/T Paranoid Master Of Reality Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Vol 4 Sabotage
  12. Seems to be my line of thought looking at most things nowadays. Which I am glad of. As much as I adore vinyl, it's great to finally realize I don't have to bury every cent under the collection.
  13. https://store.relapse.com/ Relapse's black friday is up and running. Black 1 for 40% off today, Black2 for less tomorrow etc. Great chance to tick some stuff off the wishlist. Finally snagged me Cough's Ritual Abuse. Just couldn't dish out for two double LPs to grab Still They Pray together with that for a whopping 88$ shipped. Didn't really dig it as much, I remember this being the majority opinion around these parts as well?
  14. That's one line-up. New All Them Witches come February! https://allthemwitches.bandcamp.com/album/sleeping-through-the-war
  15. Anyone grab Subrosa's "No Help For The Might Ones" repress? Bummed to have missed out on the amazing looking clear haze variant. Then again, forty bucks is obviously too much for a double LP. Black still available here. https://subrosa.aisamerch.com/item/43012
  16. 11Paranoias have a new LP available to order. Very stoked to finally get what all this Thou praise is all about. So much of their back catalogue to get into. Hearing a lot of Indian. Managed to buy 'The Archer And The Owle' for a tenner along with a Usnea 2LP, for 10 bucks each through Kozmik Artifactz. Added the Throneless LP in just for fun as well. Yay for cheap doom. In other news - finally managed to witnes Conan as they came through for a live recently but for some reason it just didn't do that much for me. I fear I might be getting over all the monotonous, monolithic, cab worshipping doom thing. Just not doing enough musically to be intriguing anymore. Which begs the question, why Throneless but hey, who knows?
  17. Have to say, not really a fan of either of Neon Warship's vocalists. But new Zaum indeed intrigues me. Upon first listen wasn't too swayed but might have to give it a few more goes. Very much digging the new Neurosis though. Very bummed to have missed out on the pre-orders on that thing. That red eclipse sure is looking sweet. Might be blasphemy to admit but I'm only now finally feeling able to get into them. I've known about their influence and respect their vision and all but for some reason, it never clicked before. Going to listen through their back catalogue from now on.
  18. CHRCH record reissued. This time on black and olive swirl, just as I hoped for, yay. 500 pressed this time around, get on it. http://battlegroundrecords.bigcartel.com/product/church-unanswered-hymns-lp Also have to gloat a bit - happened to ask about a possible EU distro on Battleground's site and suggested Totem Cat as a possible candidate. They got into contact after that and it's happening for sure. Very stoked to have played a tiny part in making this happen. Even more stoked that I'll finally be spinning that superb record soon enough, without the necessity of paying US postage and long-distance. The age of the internet can be surprising sometimes.
  19. I also do that daily. One of the most anticipated records of summer for me although I reckon it probably won't be out before fall.
  20. I'm fucking seeing Sabbath tonight! Hard to fathom really. Planning on seeing Monolord and Conan come October, playing the same bill. Feel so lucky that they're both playing so close. Only have to travel over one gulf! Great list indeed. Slomatics rule. As far I am not caught up at all. Still need to buy a copy of Cough's newest. For some reason I really don't want to listen to it before I have the LP in hand. Relatedly, weird thing is I just randomly stumbled upon a /100 variant of the Suma/Unearthly Trance MK Ultra split in a small vintage shop over here. It seems to sell for no less than 60$ on Discogs so for 30$ I had to snag it even though I haven't heard it. It probably slays too. YES ! Had the chance to review this and it's definitely favourite releases of the year so far. Andrea Vidal has some insane pipes. Can definitely hold her own against Ms. Cottrell. Just received the LP in hand. Sad thing is I probably won't find the time to spin it until perhaps in a week. I keep buying stuff and abstaining from listening to have the vinyl and the anticipation is killer!
  21. Only came here to post this. Amazing news. This should rip.
  22. Just interested, what number do your collections reach for you to play with such ideas? Asking because I'll be soon at 300 for 12" and been having those very same thoughts of purging lately. Sometimes I truly go nuts with vinyl and it hasn't really calmed down as of late. Of course, artists I love constantly keep releasing new music so it's easy to justify spending most money on vinyl (for the love of music, support etc.) but the question that still arises from time to time - do I really need it or is it just the collectionist impulse? I just don't want to see myself ending up with a room full of LPs and not much other experience in life. Gotta keep it even somehow just difficult to find that balance.
  23. Goes better than clear with the cover and overall look, is all.
