  1. Nice, listened to the first track and digging the vibe a lot. Thanks ! Great ethereal doom by a band named Brume - https://brumesf.bandcamp.com/ Their LPs just went up for sale here on some nice-looking variants - http://brume.bigcartel.com/
  2. Nice. That is indeed godsent. Another repress of that one I see, glad to see them selling so well. I'm probably good to wait until some EU distros get it then. I only checked the Dead Meadow site which says sold out so thanks for the link! Also, new Conan tune
  3. Haha perfect description. When I saw them live that's exactly how I felt. Probably verging on being blasphemous as I've heard many of you confess otherwise but I left that show feeling she comes off better on the record. Was somewhat lagging behind the band and seemed to catch her breath at times even. Although admittedly, some of the lyrics might be a mouthful to spill out exactly in the right rhythm. And I was too high for my own good that I caught every nuance of it and it just seemed awkward to me. Totally hindered my enjoyment of the set. Perhaps I would've enjoyed it more with a beer or two. Looks exactly like that Ecstatic Vision LP. Which I'm very stoked that will be arriving soon, finally . That Blue Record only reminds me of how bad they sound on those new singles off Purple... If anyone comes across that Dead Meadow self-titled 2013 repress on green wax, hit me up. I'm dying to get a copy and am very bummed to miss out on it. I always thought there would be enough to go around for a long while, until I suddenly discovered there isn't a single copy available. Anywhere
  4. Still no news on Europe... I like the fact that acoustic sounds has upped their ante as well, now that these are showing up on ebay for 50$ http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/104917/Sigur_Ros--Vinyl_Record__CD Just seems so silly to pay 60$ for a completely new reissue.
  5. Wasn't that to celebrate black friday? There was a countdown last year with 10% less discount each week closer to Christmas...or something of the like. This story gives me the chills now. What album did this accompany by the way? Quite strange, a local band just released an EP with that same story included with it early this year. Slightly reminiscent of Mars Red Sky'ish to me, due to the vocals.
  6. Can't wait to do so as well. Need to zone out and get lost somewhere for a change. Luckily just got shipping notification.
  7. It's available through the new EITS store as well. Seems those copies are still from that same /500 pressing. http://explosionsinthesky.merchline.com/products/manglehorn-an-original-motion-picture-soundtrack
  8. So you can stream this in full on their bandcamp - https://inventions.bandcamp.com/album/blanket-waves Asked TRL to combine this with my later EITS pre-order and got no reply in ten days. Today got notice that the Inventions LP has shipped. I could've at least saved a tenner on the typically outrageous trans-atlantic costs so am more than a bit bummed on this lack of communication. Also could've easily still ordered both the Inventions and EITS OST right now and still receive the limited colours but was sure they'd sell out in a few days. Oh well. *Edit - luckily I shot them a second e-mail and they saved the package from shipping in time to post together. Super awesome of them.
  9. Digging this a lot. Actually reminds me of their fellow Irish dudes of Slomatics. https://venussleeps.bandcamp.com/album/dead-sun-worship
  10. Good on you for calling it like you see it. A few people called him out on it on FB and I thought his responses were a bit shady. I can't really hate on the guy but perhaps he should think about getting some paid help to get all those things sorted. I definitely feel it is a kick in the balls. I also definitely understand the difficulty with it being a one man operation out of his spare time but he could've sorted that out in the pre-order period, as you said. It also seems to be difficult for him to judge the pressing size as a few albums have gone up with the disclaimer 'STRICLY LIMITED TO 50' (Horsehunter) or 'STRICTLY LIMITED TO SUBSCRIBERS' (Watchtower). I've been suspecting long that it's all just intended hype. Not that it's necessarily to fault. You gotta do what you gotta do to keep such a small DIY label afloat and he's not tricking anyone out of their money per se. He promised there would be an inquiry about possible updated adresses and wax preferences on the Hendrix so we'll see. I put in an order for both the main album and the 'best of' record so perhaps that might allow for some time alotted for extra inquiries.
  11. Actually had a redeeming experience with them just yesterday. I initially missed out on the *limited to 20* long sleeves with the Horseback Battlehammer print. They were kind enough to up the quantities on middle sizes when I and another asked about them on FB.
  12. So word on FB is that Kickstarter backers can't even choose from the three colour variations of the record and get black vinyl. I understand that putting out a record of this magnitude is difficult but in my personal opinion that is fully lame. Hoping that this is not true still but doubt it.
  13. I am also of the opinion that that absolves them, I became concurrently stoked and irate when it showed up in my feed because I was stoked to finally see it happen but also very mad that I would be spending more on vinyl this month. Then I became even more irate when I saw I already missed out on the /100 but then figured the burnt orange would look mighty fine with the artwork. Win/win. Found this on IG Soft synthy horror. I can't quite either so I'm surprised that they went all out with that release. Seems like it wouldn't have that much interest but I'm probably wrong.
  14. Head-honcho Jon is the weirdest when it comes to conversing with his audience. They have their merch up in the UK usually with two-week intervals. When you pre-order something, just when it arrives, another desirable thing goes up for sale. I've contacted him multiple times asking him to combine shipping on different pre-orders so as to save on shipping and dude gets back to me with the 'it's way too difficult for me to do'. Last time he promised to look into it actually so I could put in another thing but then the shirt I ordered shows up on my doorstep before he can get back to me. By the looks of it their merch has to be one of the most sought-after and I understand that it might be tought to keep up with all the time but it just seems like common courtesy. I get the DIY and all that bust get someone else to do it for you if you can't handle the single requests. Most all bands that keep it that way are able to and I just don't understand the 'it's my merch and I'll do what I want to' disposition. My concern stems mostly from the fact that Tony Roberts' artwork is just too ill not to buy and I find myself dishing out endless amounts for all their stuff. I hope you US dudes don't have to deal with that, with the Samothrace fellows doing the merch there. The music I still love but the communication could be improved upon. Also, that new album title is very close to bordering on goofy. I'm sure the tunes are meaner than ever though and will hold up to it. /Conan rant Cool to see that Mammatus release finally. I was hoping for some more epic Roper artwork but hey, can't have it all. Speaking of, not sure if they were there before but he has Dopesmoker prints up for sale. http://www.arikroper.com/shop/
  15. Frankly, it's not that good of an album, at least separate from the movie. And I think TRL realizes that. I've only listened to it once but it definitely didn't grab my attention the way PA did. It's way more low-key, ambient backgroundish. The Prince Avalance OST tells a story on its own. There definitely are some gems on it though. Just less so. Mostly I had to buy because I'm such a completionist and I love EITS. Reckon I'll grow more into it.
  16. Nah, would you really do that in his position? Shipping insurance is only what 3$ or 4$ extra. As much as I hate warped LP's, shit happens. And sometimes you have to clean it up. I feel for you dude. Just waiting on mine to arrive from the UK. Very stoked that they finally have EU presence. Wasn't expensive at all either, like a regular retail-priced LP.
  17. Trying to refrain from listening to the leak. Getting tough though... Without knowing for sure whether the deluxe order I paid for is for legit. I'd imagine it to be but perhaps they won't get around to crosschecking the order timeline until when they receive the LPs in November. So harsh to be sat waiting. *Edit - luckily all this anxiety was just dwarfed by having been sent on a reviewing mission.
  18. Sooooo am super excited for this now and would very much wish to know how I could obtain it when in Europe. Anyone with the knowledge to help out?
  19. 20% off with the code "DECENT". Get that second copy of the Saturndust you waited six months on. http://helmetladyrecords.bigcartel.com/products
  20. Only just now found out that Rise Above is owned by someone that's a musician himself. Makes it even more difficult to fathom that the label insists on keeping up their insane pricing. Even the shipping is extortionist. We're obviously not absolved and a huge part of the problem ourselves. Those die hards went like fresh bread. I only just got around to ordering the red LP that I had been fiending, not from RA but through a distro. Almost cursing myself for doing so already because this definitely isn't as good of a record as their previous ones but I just couldn't stop from going along with the hype around the band. There's something about the whole release that was really good at drawing me in. I blame the combination of the stunning minimalistic cover, the few exceptionally catchy tunes on the album and the overall vibe/image.
  21. I'm not that into death or black metal but am kind of intrigued by this. (Must be the fancy wax that swayed me.) I can kind of see myself getting into both of those genres more but I imagine it to be a very dark and narrowing path to go down.
