  1. And nobody thinks it's possible the hair is under the surface of the vinyl? Someone mentioned the Liars yarn filled LP earlier, yarn is a hell of a lot thicker than human hair. The Liars yarn is under the surface of the vinyl.
  2. Anyone on here own the single that can weigh in on if this single is as dangerous as Ice Cream Face feels it is?
  3. Joyful Noise Recordings has a sound quality warning on all of their lathe cut records, that doesn't mean they're going to ruin your needle.
  4. Ice Cream Cone Face Tattoo, would you please show me where in the description they specifically mention damage? You seem like an expert. Where is it? "“Getting Your Hair Wet With Pee” is an anthem so majestic, it makes the Star-Spangled Banner sound like a dog vomiting in comparison. Vocals soaring higher than a mountain top, guitars ringing truer than freedom itself. This is a song convicted of love and trust. Eohippus, Velocity of Sound’s most mysterious band has dropped a nugget of musical genius so profound that we had to give it the royal treatment. We are proud to announce the world’s first hair filled, piss soaked colored vinyl. Strictly limited to 100 copies, this single-sided 7” comes in your choice of black or red inked hand stamped cover art. MP3 codes are package with the single. Please note that this unique item lends itself to surface noise and no two singles look alike."
  5. How would you purpose the label make sure the hair wasn't in the grooves? How is this any different than a noisy glow in the dark or a glitter pressing? The label puts in the order and then a pressing plant makes the product?
  6. Damn. Sold out. A.P. posted something about this track was released postmortem. Apparently 'Eohippus' died in a plane crash or something a while back?
  7. I had the same trouble with the download code so I emailed the website that was supposed to host the download. They were quick to email me back with a link that had the album and the bonus material all together.
  8. If you hold up the pink vinyl to a light source, you can see the silhouette of the black vinyl underneath the pink vinyl.
  9. Autographed copies of the The Flaming Lips "Sgt. Pepper's" cover album can be found here. http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/theflaminglips?utm_campaign=project10054&utm_medium=player&utm_source=facebook
  10. Info taken from Modern Vinyl. Mark Kozelek’s Sings Christmas Carols is going to be pressed to several different colors of vinyl, with 500 on each variant: black, green, white and red. The black, green and white are now up for pre-order at Bull Moose (until they stop taking pre-orders), while the red will reportedly be exclusive to Kozelek’s webstore. The pressing will be released on December 9th. Christmas Time Is Here Do You Hear What I Hear 2,000 Miles O Come All Ye Faithful (Listen) O Christmas Tree Away In A Manger Silent Night Hark The Herald Angels Sing What Child Is This I Believe In Father Christmas God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen O Little Town Of Bethlehem The First Noel The Christmas Song
  11. Just got an Amazon confirmation. Ordered on July 28th, if any other Amazon purchasers are keeping score.
  12. Looks like Rough Trade also released 500 red 7"s. No wonder why it's still in print.
  13. SideOneDummy is doing a repress already. 500 clear, 2X 180g vinyl is in the works right now.
  14. I couldn't agree more. I didn't even bother flipping the sides. Blows.
  15. On June 20th Iron Lung sent this email to everyone that ordered the Total Control LP. "Hey all, This is just a quick note to let you know that there has been a small disaster at the pressing plant involving surgery and a newly one-armed man. This has backed up the presses a bit and really thrown a wrench in the production schedules of many labels. We have your orders and info saved and set aside in our hermetically sealed vaults until the presses resume. Rest assured we will work tirelessly until Typical System is delivered to your door. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter. -Jensen & Jon // ILR"
  16. I saw him open for Jack White last month and my jaw is still on the ground. I'm honestly very surprised there are still copies of this 7" left.
  17. Without a doubt this is an OUTSTANDING album, but the facts are, this album is still in print. I'm not sure why anyone would let Newbury Comic price rape them for a second pressing of an in-print album.
  18. The limited edition, signed, star-burst vinyl was/is limited to..................................ONE THOUSAND. I got that new straight from Cult Records.
