  1. most people consider food "uneaten" if you just take a bite to check flavor

I don't even take my records out of the mailer.

sounds like a gent. its hard to keep up the hustle that is 'vinyl' nowadays without a little direction. I'm going to start doing this to ensure I can pay for my kids college one day, or cash in for an Audi with a hottie riding shottie while listening to Maserati.

Open to verify color then spin once to verify music. Immediately file in the archives.

Reinsert earplugs as closely to factory-standard as possible to preserve the market value of ears.

Return to browsing Vinyl Collective to purchase more rare vinyuls.

    Repeat.

    Listening to what?

Edit: I just googled vinyl. It turns out there is MUSIC on these things. What the fuck? I guess I have a busy weekend ahead of me.

How do they get the music on to them anyway? It must be a physical process. Do they just iron the mp3s into the surface? It looks like there are little routes like tree-trunk lines through mine so I guess the mp3s live in there.

If you count the rings, you'll know how old the vinyl are

 Unlimited imaginary internet points for all of you! Bravo!

  2. Of course there's no comparison! haha. This isn't even about AFYCSO anymore. I'm just saying that the average thieve (or human for that matter...) has probably seen a plaque like that in their lifetime, and would assume anything that resembles that sort of display must be worth something if you're going to frame it and hang in that fashion.

HA! Over my dead body, lol. I might be a shameful owner of a Crosley. But, I am a proud owner of that record. :P

It's OK. I started with a Crosley equivalent when I started buying vinyl a couple years ago before I discovered the error of my ways. Luckily I never played anything of value on it. Found a nice player on Craigslist for a good price that made me feel better about picking up IKSOSE: 3. I'd frame it but I like listening to it too much. Also, I never lock my doors lol.

  3. Thanks for bringing this up! I didn't think the idea of having records stolen was that unheard of. My original point about framing records + theft.. is that the average thieve (even if they know nothing about vinyl records or music) has probably seen something like this before:

    michael-jackson-platinum-disc-cover-thri

And, for that reason.. if they see anything remotely like that on your wall, there's a chance they will assume it's worth something and take it just in case. So, if you have any records framed in that sort of way that have any sort of value.. it's just a possibility.

Would you rather me play it on my Crosley Cruiser of Death? :D Because, I don't want to do that......

There's quite a bit of difference between one of the most popular and recognizable albums in the history of mankind and AFYCSO but I understand the point you are trying to make.

Also, you should sell me that record so that you can buy a decent player  :)

  4. Definitely liking this album. Kicking myself for not getting into them back in the day. Not really sure why. It's weird "discovering" The Walking Wounded years after it came out as a 27-yr-old, but still seeing its merit. Super good stuff.

    Also, 013/300. Looks awesome.

    Are you me?
