Arrived! First press is really quite stunning. Layout is very nice. Going to remove the records so it holds up over time, already a slight split. No big deal though. Dedication to my father-in-law as well. Can't wait to listen tonight!

Went to Hot Topic to see what they had to offer and the clearance section had some stuff I've been meaning to pick up. I got:

Hot Rod Circuit - The Underground Is A Dying Breed
Bayside - Covers Vol. 1

Both came out to $3.95 each. It was also buy two get one free, but there was nothing else I really wanted so I grabbed a second Bayside and gave it to the cashier girl because she was talking about how much she wanted to get the album and hoped it would last until the end of the day.

I've never had that much luck at buying bulk because when I had the time and space, I didn't have the money. Now that I have the money, I also have a lady to answer to and not nearly the space. Go figure.
I went to go look at 300 jazz 45's (which is somewhat torturous because, save for Japanese fans, nobody buys them). The guy was selling them at .50 a piece and had Blue Note and Prestige records, which I love. I didn't want to buy them all but I was on a time crunch. It wasn't a haggling tactic, but I had $60 and I just offered him that for everything. He accepted. That was five years ago. I still haven't sold them!

If you're buying 20K records, paying $1 isn't really a deal. Buying that much of something, you should be paying .10 or .20 a record.

Haha - sorry...to clarify...I meant that the records I know I am interested in are of high value compared to some of the others. Sometimes my hands don't type out exactly what I mean. Thanks for the Zeke love, PMed.

Oh man, it was big news back then. Melee, and Littlest Man Band opened. About 45 minutes of songs in, it went all downhill. Aaron turned his back and performed a whole song slouched over the amp...then proceeded to smash his guitar, the mics, kick over equipment and walked off the stage. The rest of the band stared blankly. Some say heroin, alcohol, stresses of the road, the sound, or missing his new wife...either way, it was an episode. They gave out free posters as the rest of the band apologized. Whatever it was, it was scary, sad, and awesome rolled into one.
