  1. Just checked mine out too, yeah def standard weight. I get what you're saying, but it does matter a little bit. Not that it sounds better, but it more durable. Once the record is in my hands and I see it's not warped I could really give a shit if it's 180g or not, but usually knowing it's 180g helps me sleep a little better ordering records knowing there less likely a chance for it to be warped. Now if you want to get on the "stop looking at the tonearm, warped records are fine" discussion, check out the Whirr thread.
  2. Ya know I'm not sure, I don't even remember what mine is and it doesn't say what it is on discogs. It was probably the same weight as the black. I'll take a look when I get home.

  4. I got an original press black that I'm good with, but a blue 180g would be pretty sexy.
  5. A DJ that spins vinyl? Anyone who scratches? Or assholes like me that come home from work, grab a beer, put a record on and stare like a mongoloid at the record player because I hate TV.
  6. I've been waiting for this, one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. This thing was a double CD when it came out, there's a lot of songs on it, to say you could get all these songs at the thrift store say at $1 each would still cost you more money than this. I'm glad they're repressing this because the originals are going for over $100 and are mostly in Europe. Seems pretty justified for a repress if you ask me. I definitely won't be jumping on a SRC pre-order, I'll wait till those clowns actually have it in their hands.
  7. Yeah it's slightly warped when it's on side A, but when I flip it to side B it stays flat. I'd rather bands press with 180g than do a gatefold cover, standard weight just warps too easily.
  8. Is your copy the goldish color like mine? Wondering if they're trying to unload those at the shows or I just got unlucky.
  9. Ah, my bad... yeah it was "Warm Bodies". The one that's like a tween zombie romance. I work on movies so I get to watch a lot of retarded stuff.
  10. Well crap, thanks for the info. The white bone one looks better IMO, but whatever.... the album is great.
  11. The record I bought the other night is not what is pictured anywhere. It's like a mustard gold color. $20 bucks... other albums for sale for $15 and they take debit/credit cards. Bring earplugs.
  12. Only Lovers Left Alive: This movie is basically about collecting guitars and listening to vinyl. I loved it. Dead Bodies: zombies love listening to vinyl apparently. lame.
  13. I was at the show last night, here's my thoughts. There was, for the most part, no vocals. Every now and then you could hear a syllable, but that's about it. It wasn't about "how it is mixed" either. You could turn Ronnie's vocal mic up as far as it could go and he we still find a way to be inaudible, he just didn't look confident singing. This wouldn't bother me so much, but some of the songs rely on the vocals as the main melody (ex. verse in "flashback"). I think the absence of a female singer hurt their live show, women's vocals cut through the mix better. With that said, everything else sounded great. I snagged a copy of Sway at the merch table, it's some weird gold looking color.
  14. Yeah I'm seeing them tonight. I live right near the venue so I'll probably walk down a little bit later, I'm not trying to catch the openers. I'm hoping they'll have the new album for sale.
  15. The keyboardist has a pedal company called Smallsound / Bigsound and he makes limited edition pedals for their new album releases. He did it to the last album and this one. If you play guitar check them out, I have the F*ck Overdrive and it's a great pedal. I'll definitely be picking this up soon.
  16. I started listening to her almost a week ago. The next day I bought the LP1 deluxe, EP1 and two tickets to see her in November. Let's just say I was impressed.
  17. ughhh.....I told myself no records this paycheck, I have no will power... Jeff the brotherhood - Past 7" Recordings. $36 after shipping. Could of been worse, I started out with my cart being like $180.
  18. Still on, just saw the SRC email this morning saying it was now being pushed back to the end of October. I wanted to pre-order an album, not give them a short term loan.
  19. Ignore the flippers. There's a preorder for it on Insound, release August 26th. http://www.insound.com/Gravity-OST-Vinyl-2xLP-Steven-Price/P/INS134986/
  20. But I can. The fact that they do this on a consistant basis is enough for me.
  21. And in regular SRC fashion, the release date is now pushed back to October 28th. Sigh.....
  22. I took your recommendation and checked these guys out. Awesome. Ordered Lull from their website.
