It's so weird that iam8bit go to such great lengths to describe the intricacies of the game's score and how incredible it sounds - then go ahead and press it on a picture disc. If the score is that awesome, it seems such a waste.

Ah yeah, see, mine arrived like this: I mentioned it to them on Twitter and they said that it looks bad, but didn't offer to replace it. The records play fine, so I'm not gonna push the issue, but it's a shame.

Gave it a spin last night. Not bad at all - a real mix of different sounding tracks from the Synthwave scene. I much preferred the outrun-esque side of the record. 7.5/10 - will listen again

Me too. The score for Portal 2 was amazing, but if I remember correctly it was procedurally generated, so the music would react to what you were doing at the time. Mind you, No Man's Sky works the same way and that's getting a vinyl release.

I probably won't go after Inside Out - I'd rather have a single full soundtrack. But they look amazing. Big picture though - I'm absolutely stoked that Mondo are licensing Pixar stuff. If this means we get Ratatouille / Wall-E / Toy Story LPs at some point down the road, I'll shit my pants.

I won't pretend I even have a slight chance at getting that. But if anyone is going and fancies helping a brother out...
