I made a huge mistake and completely failed to notice that The Guest was one of the RSD releases. If anyone sees it, could you let me know? It's completely OOS near me.

^^^ I will bet you they had never even reached out to Squeenix or Konami back when they were claiming that they were going to release those records. And they're going to need more than a licensed company name to get the rights to soundtracks on those IPs.

I'm afraid I don't. I suspect that with the cost of licensing each individual track for sale, it'll probably never be available to buy.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. I ended up with a spare Life is Strange record. I'll give it away on here soon, once i work out how to do it fairly. (Please don't PM me asking for the record - when I give it away, I want to make sure that everyone has a shot)

Ended up grabbing a boxset on black. Really loved the swirl, but couldn't justify that cost right now.

Trust me, you're absolutely underestimating how difficult it is to deal with Nintendo on anything relating to licensing. If it's Pokemon, I'll be EXTREMELY surprised.

Unlikely to be anything Nintendo related since they focus on Sega. My money is on Ninja Gaiden, which Sean has acquired the licence for.

I'm not taking any sides on this (mainly because it's not a productive debate) but I'm sure Sean would have gone the legit route for these releases if he could have. It's just not that easy to acquire licences from big publishers (trust me, I know). Most of the time you will end up shouting into the ether because the corporation is just so huge that you can't get in front of the right person. Again, that's not me making excuses for bootlegging, it's purely aimed at the "why don't you just go legit" question. I feel pretty confident saying that most if not all legit labels would never be able to secure a license from the likes of Nintendo (which isn't an excuse to go bootleg a record but here we are).
