  1. Anyone know the name of the bonus track at the end of the record? Was pleasantly surprised by that.
  2. Just got my copy from Rough Trade in the mail today. I got the LP+ package. It's really fantastic. The three art prints are all pretty different and cool, the records sound great and each come in their own thick paper sleeves which are housed in a thick translucent plastic case with holographic artwork on the front and back. The poster has the lyrics printed on the back, and there's also a lyric book. Haven't listened to the CD yet.
  3. I've been thinking about selling my splatter and getting the SRC variant for just that reason. I have the whole splatter series, minus TOYPAJ, and that's cool, but my SRC TOYPAJ sounds way better than any of the splatter.
  4. Wait so the purple's not 180g? Shit. I kind of want to cancel my order and get the black instead...
  5. I have a 10 page paper due in 2 hours and 4 pages still to go but dammit, this is more important. C'mon Kings Road, quit being down!
  6. This talk of lame crowds makes me regret missing them on this tour less. I'd still like to see them once though.
  7. http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=DWRD1006- for wet cleaning http://www.turntablelab.com/products/audioquest-anti-static-record-brush- and that's the dry brush I use but really any carbon fiber brush will work. Also I'm pretty new to vinyl myself so someone more knowledgeable might guide you better on this. I know people have their own homemade solutions and I don't know how much better or worse those are than the D4+ stuff but that seems to do the job for me.
  8. Nothing too major, an RCA Discwasher RD1006 with the D4+ solution for wet cleaning and an AudioQuest carbon fiber brush for dry cleaning. I'd love to invest in a SpinClean but y'know...balling on a budget and all that.
  9. Listening to it now on my AT-LP120, still skips out on the first second of Lycanthrope and there's some pretty significant IGD and skipping on Lillian. Side A just ended, we'll see how side B goes. Edit: Actually I'm going to give it another good cleaning and see how Lillian sounds again before I start side B, because it was really pretty awful. Ok yeah the second cleaning did wonders, no skips this time!
  10. Yeah there's no way this is actually sold out. Up at 2:19 and sold out by 2:40, based on the posts on this board, there's no way this is that in demand or they pressed so few. It'll be back up...I hope. And if they are gone...I blame AltPress http://www.altpress.com/news/entry/44s_when_your_heart_stops_beating_re_released_on_vinyl
  11. Pretty sure you have to subscribe. Hence my "damn" Are you able to buy it off their website/webstore or do I.....have to subscribe? EDIT: Well now that I'm looking into it, you can subscribe month to month at a $27/mo. rate, which is definitely worth it, so that's probably what I'll end up doing. I'm assuming it will be their Record of the Month for December.
  12. Vinyl Me Please is going to have an exclusive Clear with Blue Marble variant of IDLS. Damn.
  13. Well my problem was just that the little plastic part that triggered it came loose. I just had to reattach it. Hopefully that's the problem with your FJM record. If it's beyond that I can't help you =/
  14. So that little surprise you guys are talking about has already stopped working. It worked the first few times but then it stopped, and it's not like I can really get behind the sleeve and try to fix it, so that kinda sucks. It is a fun addition though, it definitely made me laugh. EDIT: Never mind, I fixed it and it was incredibly easy haha.
  15. EIIKM was my least favorite MCS album before Go came out. For me, as it stands now, its probably: Commit This to Memory My Dinosaur Life I Am the Movie Even If It Kills Me Panic Stations Go
  16. It's better than Go but I'm still not sure how I feel about this album. It might be on par or slightly better than Even If It Kills Me. Also, hasn't Justin's voice gotten lower with age? He sounds different on this album.
  17. True, but at least we're not "A Lot of Sorrow"-level insane.
  18. No idea, but I would guess no less than 500 and probably no more than 1000. The first pressing of RTJ2 sold out pretty quickly and even though it's more expensive I've got to assume people are going to be all over this. I wouldn't wait if I were you.
  19. I almost didn't pull the trigger on this. Then I remembered that time I drunkenly dropped 50 dollars on fucking Good Charlotte albums.
