  1. Going to Grizzlies vs Thunder tonight. I'm pretty stoked.
  2. Probably, I don't like Kobe but I respect his game. Lebron just runs over people/walks for 80% of his points.
  3. My cousin has Goldendoodle and she's so awesome. Donated a little bit from my paypal.
  4. Lebron taking the Game winner or game tying shot 5 times in the last 4 games. Bricked them all.
  5. I think the Grizzlies strategy is to just sign everyone who has pissed off Kobe somehow. That being said, welcome to Memphis Leon Powe.
  6. I was listening to a Memphis radio stream today because they always talk about the Grizzlies and I heard him mention that he was excited Gogol Bordello was coming to Memphis. I had no idea it was with System Of A Down.
  7. I had been meaning to watch this for years now and saw it on Netflix instant so I watched it. I hated it so much.
  8. I never said that, I just said it's Gasol v Gasol, it will be interesting because they are brothers.
  9. I know that but you still can't tell me it wouldn't be a scary matchup for the Lakers. Gasol vs Gasol, Randolph and Bynum rebounding for each team, the two best wing defenders in the league (Tony Allen and Shane Battier) against Kobe, and there are a lot more good match ups too that could go in favor of either team. Also Mike Conley, Tony Allen, and Rudy Gay are all in the top 10 in steals per game, no other team even has 2 players in the top 10 (also lead the NBA in steals per game as a team at 9.24). Memphis is also the #1 team at scoring in the paint and the #1 in forcing turnovers. Granted I know what the Lakers and particularly Kobe is capable of but it would be a great series.
  10. Don't sleep on Memphis either if you're a Lakers fan. Honestly a lot of Memphis fans would rather have the Lakers than some of the other teams in the first round because we match up so well against them. I've never seen a Memphis team this stacked before. When the playoffs come around (barring any injuries) our team will be: Starters: Mike Conley, Sam Young, Rudy Gay, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol Bench: Tony Allen, Shane Battier, OJ Mayo, Darrell Arthur, Hammed Hadaddi, Jason Williams, Grevis Vasquez, Xavier Henry, and Ishmael Smith (plus maybe some PF/C they pick up from the D-league or gets bought out) You can't tell me that's not gonna be a good series.
  11. I'd be really worried about OKC. Perkins gives them a huge post presence and a lock down defender of bigs. Don't sleep on Mohammed either, he is pretty good athletic big and they still have Ibaka too. I have no idea what Boston is doing, unless it's to go after Dwight Howard in the future (when he becomes available) which I've heard might be a reason. Edit: Forget what I said about Mohammed, I was confusing him with someone else. Mohammed isn't bad but he's 33 and not as athletic as I was thinking.
  12. This is the craziest deadline. OKC gets Kendrick Perkins, Nate Robinson and Nazr Mohammed. Boston got Kristic and Jeff Green and a 2nd round from Cleveland. Charlotte gets DJ White and Mo Peterson, Pryzbilla and two 1st round picks from Portland Memphis gets Shane Battier and Josh McRoberts and 1 round pick. Houston gets Hasheem Thabeet, Goran Dragic, and two 1st round picks (one from Mem one from Suns) Suns get Aaron Brooks Pacers get OJ Mayo (the Mayo for McRoberts+1st round wasn't submitted in time so it didn't happen both players stay on their respective teams) Cleveland got Barron Davis, Semih Erden and Luke Harangody (Celtics trade Erden and Harangody for a 2nd round pick, dumbest trade of the deadline) Clippers get Mo Williams and Jamario Moon. Crazy.
  13. I tried it the last two years and gave up on it both time. I made it to the all star break last year, this year I drafted the team then never changed the lineup. It's alot to keep up with because of the varying schedules and times they play plus injuries and all that.
  14. ok, let's be honest. what kind of crazy person doesn't want to see them play seventy times seven? that song is super angsty teenage fun time. I saw them right after Daisy came out and I had been keeping up with setlists and they had been playing a couple songs off of YFW, mostly 70x7 and Jude Law. I was so stoked for that and then in Atlanta they didn't play anything off YFW and this was my first time being able to see them and I've been a fan since YFW came out.
  15. Deal is done. "Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash. Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman."
  16. Melo to NY is going down tonight, then the floodgates will open up all across the league. Newest one I've seen is Boston is going after Shane Battier pretty hard.
  17. Chicago seemed like the logical choice to me and my friend (Jake) considering it's still within driving distance from where we live now and I know someone up there already. However I started talking to my best friend (who currently lives in Tulsa and is Jake's stepbrother) and he told me him and his wife are moving to either NYC or Pasadena in 2012 to go to grad school so we may just go to where ever they go to split the rent at first. Also Jake's brother can transfer his job to any Renaissance Hotel in the country and can get me an Jake jobs until we find something else. I'm a television production major and NYC and LA are obviously the biggest cities for that industry but I figured Chicago has some opportunities too.
  18. Me and my friend just talked about moving to Chicago in the near future since it's not that far away and we've always wanted to go. What are the pros and cons of the city? Before we thought about Chicago we may be looking at NYC or Pasadena CA.
  19. Project Pat is from Jackson and I have friends who will randomly see him at gas stations and stuff there haha. There is a girl in one of my classes I got to talking to and she was born and raised in Orange Mound and lives on South Parkway
  20. Jerry Sloan and his assistant coach just resigned out of nowhere today. He's been coaching the Jazz since the year I was born.
  21. Go see the Grizzlies, afterwards just walk around Beale St and find a random blues bar.
  22. I doubt that happens. Denver already has Nene and Birdman and Bynum hasn't played a solid season in the last 4 years and is too injury prone. If he had a cheap contract that would be one thing but he's at like $15Mil a year. Denver also already said they weren't interested in Artest and Odem, which was another proposed deal. Denver should have taken NJs deal if they aren't going to work with the Knicks. However I think all this talk of going to the Lakers is just a big ploy to get NY to reconsider what they are offering. Denver is gonna want a 2 of these players, Gallinari, Chandler, and Fields. I heard them talking on NBA tonight about how even though those guys are good, they are definitely replaceable so NY will probably get moving to deal 2 of them.
  23. I grabbed Madden 11 and NBA Jam. Looking forward to some new games.
  24. I just don't get why this guy is blowing up all of the sudden. He has good beats and a decent flow but his accent and lyrics are awful to me.
