  1. Nice! I sold all my SNES, NES, Genesis stuff somewhat recently because I didn't have enough time to play them and they were getting up there in price. Almost wish I hadn't though.
  2. Even though I'm not playing anymore, glad to see Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth get a reprint. I might pick some up in case I start playing again.
  3. Many of them have a "set symbol" down under the artwork before any text. If they don't have one, it's based off the border/edges of the cards/artwork.
  4. Yooooooo. When you get that list send me the list of anything you don't want! I may have you pick some stuff up for me
  5. Alright, you got me. I looked at your post because I knew it was going to be a response to me. So. First things first. This is the last of your posts I'll respond to in this thread, as I'd rather not clutter it up with a stupid argument. Now... Let's see, you said that the song is "poppy, and catchy," but you also said the lyrics were abysmal, which at the very least still puts this song back at zero. Poor lyrics take even an otherwise decent poppy song and make it below average in my opinion, though. Then you go on to say, and I'm paraphrasing here, "Well c'mon guys, we really love to hate on Weezer, but the song is ok...right?" That's the only "defense" you offer for Weezer though, that their song is catchy. We all know Weezer writes catchy songs. You don't tell us why you think the song is ok, other than you think it's catchy, though, and you don't tell us why you think the lyrics are abysmal either. Is it because the lyrics evoke the image of a 44 year old man trying to recapture the spirit of his youth by regaling us with poorly described stories of that youth? Is it because, rather than showing us his soul, as with Pinkerton, Cuomo just tries tell us how he's feeling? Or is it perhaps because Rivers Cuomo tries to apologize to his past supporters, by making a song for his new supporters, using references the latter may not entirely get, but the former don't care about because they're couched in the same smarmy pop Weezer has put out for the last 16 years? Anyway, you see where I'm going with this. So. Summation time. I read your article before I decided to ignore you. You pretty much agreed with what has been said in this thread: the song is catchy, but really not that great, and even though you end your review saying it's ok, there isn't any real conviction in the statement. Yes I bombed the shit out of that Blink thread because it was already off topic and I wanted it locked. I don't think I'm taking the high road by agreeing with someone else that you're not adding to the conversation by asking people to read your blog; you're looking for hits on your website and this isn't a place for advertising that. Our conversation has pulled this thread off topic enough, so I'm done. I have only one last word of advice, and I'm not saying it strictly to be a dick, I want you to really think about it. Find your voice. When I read your review I felt like I was eating a small bowl of plain, mushy oatmeal; it was bland, and though there wasn't much of it I still wanted to stop halfway through.
  6. Why doesn't it surprise you? In his article, he pretty much agrees with everything in this thread. Did you read it? (Most people don't just downvote people if they disagree with their opinions. Y'know, because we're mostly adults here.)
  7. Cheesey Petes! My internet was going bonkers there for a minute. I didn't realize my VC attention was so sought after. I'm feeling special, yet I don't have a swollen head thanks to: Hold on a sec Joto, lemme see if I can find the other one. EDIT: You know what? I was wrong, only one. But I remembered getting stoked about another stoner metal band putting something out and that was the new Sleep track. My brain just crapped out on me for a minute.
  8. I think the lemonade one is the only one I've had! with the vanilla custard on it? It's been a while.
  9. The new Earth album has some songs with vocals Also, not stoner/doom, but Huntress is a kick-ass female fronted metal band. Their first album is NUTS not so sure about Starbound Beast yet, but I'm sure I'll be sold on it soon enough. Uh. Yum! RITAAAAAAA'S!!! That place is awesome. Every time we get back to visit wifey's fam she goes crazy about going to Rita's. I'll admit, I get super excited as well!
  10. Yeah dude, you're really into Uncle Acid, which, honestly I'm not super into I don't know what it is. I think maybe I'm not into the vocals? But as far as E. Wizard, I'd hold out until We Live and Let Us Prey get re-pressed this year. All their other stuff has been re-pressed pretty recently and can be had at reasonable prices too. If you don't have any Sleep stuff yet, get Dopesmoker, it's always being re-pressed (still waiting on Holy Mountain to get re-pressed). Om (two of the dudes from Sleep) is stellar, order their first two albums from Holy Mountain records, they're very cheap. uhhhhh I don't think Dawnbringer really falls too much in that genre, but they're great. Summoner... Seems like you might like the new Earth album that just went up for preorder yesterday.
  11. Nah, at this point if they're old enough to cougar me, they're more like g-milfs, so I'd pass on that too.
  12. I hear that. I just open everything and play it, but maybe if had thoughts of reselling I wouldn't.
  13. Open then and spin them, otherwise, one of these days you're going to drop one and just totally fuck the corners up on it and you'll be all like " "
  14. haha! I never even really got into Korn when I was younger, though I did have some friends who dug them. Was never really a Marilyn Manson guy either.
  15. Stoked for the alleged Saves the Day - Through Being Cool re-press this year?! The only thing that would make me equally happy is if they'd re-press this...or early Coheed stuff.
  16. You definitely have legal rights in this case. They're clearly not making the accommodations that your situation requires even though they said they would. If they fire you over your need of accommodations, you can sue. I don't know all the laws, but you should look into the Americans With Disabilities Act and Equal Opportunity Workplace stuff.
  17. Oh, yeah, I mean...nu-metal has never crossed my mind as something I want on vinyl. It's mostly pop-punk for me, as far as nostalgia.
