I don't think the curse is applicable to these guys. Crack The Skye was a beauty too. I was lucky enough to see it performed live in it's entirety.

 

Saw this. I didn't really like Crack the Sky before I saw them play it live.  Still don't have it on vinyl and now wish I did.

 

 

If you follow the band's Facebook they are always linking eBay links to auctions of signed gear. It's getting really dumb. Signed cymbals going for $250...

 

They've always been like this though. I saw them like...what, gotta be 6 years ago now and at the merch booth they were selling signed records for like $70 or something stupid. In their home town.

Black Cobra! Those dudes ruuuuuule. Saw them years ago with Howl and Struck By Lightning and loved every minute of it.

I guess my whole thing in talking to you is this davin0. Records have gotten expensive enough as it is without people buying stuff just to flip it and it makes me, as well as many, many people on this forum angry when people do that sort of thing. Especially when that sort of greed is shown right here on the board while so many other people are trying to help out their fellow vinyl lovers.

That said, maybe you made good on your original offer, or maybe you ended up helping someone else out, who knows. All I know is what I saw through your actions, and that is what people will judge you on.

None of anyone's business who I sold it to or for what price. Wouldn't want anyone else being harassed over a silly record sale.

 

I'll also say that most people on this forum have the respect not to hassle a buyer.

I want to know the user because I think he is bullshitting. He gets questioned on this topic and all of a sudden it is sold again.

 

I would guess you're probably on the right track and it's on eBay again, but I don't care about that can't be bothered to care about that.

Only shady users would ever say who they sold to, and by not disclosing this user on the forum's I think it is safe to say that you are to be trusted.

 

Are you seriously applauding someone for using the most basic of forum ettiquette at this point? Why should it even be an issue as to who he sold it to? Obviously you shouldn't give out that kind of information to people unless they say it's ok for you to, and even then most people wouldnt.

I didn't say a shady deal, you've just been generally shady about this whole situation. I know I personally wouldn't try to deal with you at all in any sort of trade/sale because you seem untrustworthy. I could care about who you sold the record to, I'd be interested to find out what price you "let it go" at though.

Yeah, I don't think he gets the fact that someone selling him that box set and him selling this 7" should be two completely unrelated events and that no one can take him at his word anymore due to his past shady dealings.

I'm not lying when I say I will sell this split for 99¢ if I find someone at least offer to sell the box set to me.

 

I just don't think you get it, man.

People were still selling this same record for cost plus shipping on the forum when you were trying to flip yours, and now you're trying to trade it for a $100+ dollar box set, when the correct thing to do would have been for you to accept the first offer of what you originally asked for when it was given to you in the first place.

You got greedy though. 

If I were you, I'd message the guy who originally wanted to make the first deal and offer it to him at the original price.  Right now, everyone is on your case because you kind of acted like a dick in your first and second threads.
