  1. I don't know how to embed YouTube videos because I am a moron, but this performance from last night has my heart hurting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVAfR3QjFKo&feature=youtu.be
  2. why do I always wait too long to pre-order? should have went with my gut on this last month.
  3. Full track isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Song is still iffy and lacks substance. Cheesy clap snares at the beginning? Come on. I do like some of the lyrics though. I went to NY this summer for the first time and it changed my life. Maybe Tay Tay has an extra bedroom?
  4. NEW SONG SNIPPET = garbage. But I do love NY.
  5. Yeah, I agree with this. The dude from Turnstile did guest vocals for that part and that band is terrible.
  6. would everyone like to share their official # 1 favorite track off Resurrection? I decided about an hour ago: Stubborn
  7. Daydreaming about spending my afternoon with Taylor Swift and 100 kittens. Getting zero work done.
  8. I am having a really hard time trying to argue with this statement.
  9. what does everyone think of the new song? http://www.stereogum.com/1711446/taylor-swift-out-of-the-woods/mp3s/
  10. okay I lied, this lyric is awesome: "there's no more heroes, no one showing us the way. so I sift through my old 45's to remind myself"
  11. From Scott Heisel at AltPress: "The struggle that many longtime NFG fans will probably have to go through with Resurrection is coming to grips with why they like New Found Glory. If you’re a fan of riffs, breakdowns and the occasional injection of the forbidden beat, there’s plenty to love here. If you’re a fan of their lyrics, Resurrection could be a challenge to accept. While individual songwriting credits have never been available throughout NFG’s career, Klein had always been identified as the group’s primary lyricist, with Gilbert responsible for much of the music. Obviously being in a band is generally a collaborative experience, with each member contributing to lyrics and music whenever appropriate; no one’s saying Klein wrote 100 percent of NFG lyrics before now. But one of the biggest reasons NFG connected with thousands of people worldwide was his ability to confess whatever his sins may have been at the time in the context of a three-minute pop-punk song, making the band more vulnerable and human in a scene that is typically dominated by snotty, don’t-give-a-fuck attitudes. The lyrics on Resurrection are different; whoever wrote them (it’s a fair assumption Gilbert did much of the heavy lifting) doesn’t try to impersonate Klein’s writing voice, instead pushing their own voice forward. When it works, it’s great; when it doesn’t, it feels clunky at best and skippable at worst. As a result, Resurrection could be a contentious record in New Found Glory’s extensive discography, but on the plus side, you can probably expect another one in two years—so if this one’s not right for you, maybe the next one will be." Luckily, I have never been a huge fan of lyrics in music.
  12. THAT WOULD RULE. I'll just set my expectations super low for this release now in order to quell any disappointment, but I am just glad it'll be on wax. Will probably order from SRC closer to the release date
  13. This record is great. Not sure what all the fuss is about.
  14. chances that this will be on color? very slim
  15. Am I an idiot? Why can't I find the deluxe gatefold 12" w/ 7" only? Sold out?
  16. Gonna wait for an "official" announcement, but this got me so pumped
