They seem to be getting worse. I think it's because they are just not scanning certain bar codes. You would think their system updates as soon as something is checked in at a new location, but when the people working at the PO can only tell you what you already know, there is a problem. I read somewhere else that they are employing a lot of temp workers, not just for the upcoming season. A friend that lives in the country continues to have problems of non-deliverable, because of her address, which is not correct (addy is correct). Pure laziness on the part of the carrier. If they don't want to deliver it, they can continue to, apparently.

Meh. I wasn't expecting to win. Somebody always comes through in the end. They are hard to find locally. It will happen, someday. Until then, may I dream of long, Fall nights. I kinda miss Chicago. We had a long night til 5, barhopping. I hadn't been out in a long while, and I don't drink, which my buddy was worried about. Funny though, 4/5 bars that we went to that night had someone (Wo)manning 2 tables. A few of them were playing old soul/latin. Went through one place around 2. Small dive. First thing we see is a gent spinning nothing but latin/bossa/jazz. It made my night. I was high all night, but that's besides the point. Happened a few yrs ago on a random trip up there, w a few folks spinning 45's of soul, and nothing but. Average age was maybe late 20's. Everyone was getting it. We don't have a spot like that locally. A few try, but they aren't of the same vein, or setting.

I could throw together an excellent studio for that price. Fuck that. If it makes you feel any better, I lost an auction in the last 10 sec, an hour ago (what a surprise), on the 'bay', for a SL-1210. $5. 5 lousy dollars. Just made me smile. I've never imagined paying that much for a table. Hell no. Even if I had to spend money that I could burn, I don't think I could, on a shiny table that looks like it could send a telegram, or call the ISS in space
