  1. Also, I think the main reason why I had fun working there is because I knew it was a super temporary job. I was only there for like three months. That was four years ago. I stopped back in to the store I worked at a few months ago and some of the same people were working there. That I definitely couldn't do, I would've gone mad.
  2. Working there was always pretty fun for me. Shifts always went by pretty quickly, and yeah, customers were always pretty cool because they were in and out super fast. Straightforward and easy stuff.
  3. I worked at a Jimmy John's for a summer a few years back. It wasn't bad, and the tips as a delivery driver were pretty decent. That's my only experience with fast food. I would maybe try to go for the more "casual dining" fast food restaurants. Places like Noodles or Panera wouldn't be too bad I think, but I'm not sure what's around you. Coffee shops would probably be a safe bet, too.
  4. I finally have a chance to sit down and really listen to the new Failure album. I'm really digging it so far.
  5. I recently moved, and the post office I go to now is terrible. I've only sent out a few records since I moved here, but the guy who always "helps" me never believes I'm sending out records (or some form of media) when I ask to ship via media mail. He always asks me, "are you sure you're sending out records?" and always makes a point to reiterate the fact that the package is subject to inspection multiple times throughout our interaction. Like, yeah, I know man. What the fuck else am I going to put in a 12"x12" LP mailer? Come on. Dude is such a dick.
  6. Yeah, sounds like it could be the GPU. We just had a lot of small branches and leaves everywhere this morning. The wind was pretty intense at times.
  7. Minneapolis? I was right in the middle of the tornado warning. My girlfriend and I fell asleep watching a movie and woke up to that awful emergency tornado warning alarm on the TV. Thankfully nothing too gnarly happened as far as damage and whatnot, but the lightning was fucking wicked. The tornado warning got me all amped up so I luckily got to stay up and watch the storm.
  8. My mid-2010 MacBook Pro crapped out on me earlier this year. Actually, it just shit out on me when I tried to install 10.10 on it. I've ran a few different diagnostic tools on it and the hardware is fine. Five years is a pretty good run for any laptop these days though. Maybe I should get around to at least taking a look at my MBP. I have a desktop though and I'm not in school anymore so I'm not in a rush.
  9. Tapatio for tacos and burritos. Texas Pete on everything else.
  10. Thank you! The interviews are early next week. Let's hope by this time next week I'll get the call for a job offer, maybe. Looks almost like a sinkhole, even though it is the upper level. Sinkholes are fucked up too, though. Fuck sinkholes and fuck parking ramps. Safe to say I'm not a fan of either.
  11. Just got a two calls about two job interviews next week for positions that pay almost double what I'm making now! So stoked. So stoked that I accidentally posted this in the man advice thread at first. I always thought parking garage collapses were an irrational fear of mine too. Parking in the Mall of America parking ramps scares the crap out of me, especially when it's really windy out.
  12. He has done it twice so far in an effort to free up some shelf space. Not sure if he'll do it again any time soon, but you never know. The dude has an insane amount of records.
  13. I got my record from Jeremy in the mail today, and it's actually a 6". It's some SF skate punk type stuff according to his note. Pretty psyched!
  14. Yup, saw that right after I replied haha. Not a bad deal at all though.
  15. Physical books or e-books? I've been meaning to find some new copies of the trilogy myself. It's been a few years since I've read them, and I think I'm overdue for a read-through.
  16. Typically when I think of flat paint jobs, I think of 16 year olds plasti-dipping their entire '96 Dodge Neon in a shitty flat color. I do think that a flat black paint job, done professionally, would do a car like a '47 Buick justice though.
  17. My mom bought a 2011 3 Series last year. That thing is a fucking blast to drive.
