  1. Thanks for all the feedback, I'll update after I've spun a few albums. Looking forward to giving the new release of Decade a good listening, as well as The Downward Spiral and Moon Shaped Pool.
  2. As mentioned above, I bought a 3 month old DC version with acrylic platter for $380. The guy who sold it was gifted a esprit. I'll receive it on Wednesday, we'll see about the hum issue.
  3. Funny, I ended up getting a 3 month old Debut Carbon DC with the acrylic platter for $380 off ebay from someone who was just gifted the esprit.
  4. Thanks for all the feedback. Have you all seen these get much lower than $299?
  5. Thanks for the feedback, I'm very green as far as components and hardware. I would like the best bang for the buck in upgrades under $100.
  6. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Pro-Ject carbon for $299, and am wondering if those who have had this model have noticed much of a difference upon upgrading from the felt mat it comes with. My ears are ok, but far from audiophile. Tinnitus has taken a toll. If so, what did you upgrade to, and what were the differences?
  7. Agreed. Horses in the Sky is probably one of my all time favorites. Both GSYBE and ASMZ are tremendous in their own right and an example of when bands segment with other members and create something just as good, but different. Unlike Tool>Perfect Circle and a host of other oofie spinoffs.
  8. I agree, the tracks off of With Teeth are better live, but still just a flat album. Also, Wish is on Fixed too (the 14 minute amazeballs version)
  9. Yeah, not a bad album by comparison by what he had done the few years before and after. I think I might be unloading my copy before the remasters come out.
  10. That was by far nin's worst album, high and low. The Slip, reallY? Oof. I'm just not sure how anyone who listens to TDS could take any of those albums mentioned above. Then you have tracks like Wish off of Fixed that take it to a whole new level.
  11. Always a good day when GSYBE announces a new album. And for those of you who have never seen them live, make it fucking happen. It can be a religious experience, completely sober.
  12. Eh, nothing stands out in this new track, but then again, nothing has for quite some time. Hesitation Marks had it's moments, as did the previous couple of albums, but it's obvious he will never even come close to some of the amazing work he created before. Just about everything after The Fragile has been meh, making the few bright spots really stand out. But in comparison to the first five albums (including EP's), this is so watered down. Kind of like Tool>Perfect Circle. All that being said, I'll continue to listen and buy out of pure appreciation for what's he's put out long in the past.
  13. TR has a net worth of 70 million, he doesn't need to fist his fans to release expanded takes of material that was originally put out almost 20 years ago. Again, he puts it out there at this price because he know most of his fan base will bite. I have no problems paying it, as I've dug his music for so long, but I get why people are complaining.
  14. I've always loved NIN, even during his weaker work (With Teeth, The Slip...) but I'd never accuse Reznor of not capitalizing to the fullest extent on any of his releases. The difference being this is WAY out of line for what we're getting. Give us a much better package quality and we don't see the gripes, but this...? The horrible pack out and shipping timeline was just the exclamation point.
  15. Awesome. I was on the fence about getting In Case You...sound quality on this is pretty good well.
  16. Goddamnit! Now I want the oxblood, and white editions. When is enough enough? How many fucking variants does one need? The hobby, indeed.
  17. After repeatedly contacting sandbag, they finally replied saying my order would ship in early July. Considering I ordered two things that have been out for awhile (Prick and Cargo in the Blood) I'm not sure why theirs such a delay.
  18. Eh, I took the plunge for both variants. Over $30 each after shipping, but I love me some Chelsea.
  19. And ordered...Nice design and packaging. There have been very few things Sufjan's done that I haven't liked. This might be a grower, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for the coupon code. I'd rather order direct. Because, hey, FUCK Amazon.
  20. Fuck it. Ordered Cargo in Blood and the Prick album. Didn't want to regret missing that book. Great video on Youtube regarding the making of the book.
