Self Titled and 1984 set for March 31st release, along with a new live album.
"New editions of Diver Down, Women and Children First, Van Halen II and Fair Warning are slated to arrive this spring."
-
Just throwing this out there for any yinzers. South Hills Village Mall in PA is closed for remodeling for a couple more weeks. You won't be able to go there and grab Three Cheers on release day.
I was planning on it, actually...thanks for the heads-up!

I own the standard black version of TYPOAJ so I'll definitely grab the splatter of that. I'm assuming that it doesn't come with the three 7" discs but that isn't going to change my mind in the least
Yeah, it doesn't, but it's way cheaper than the version that does.
-
While it'd be pretty rad, I'm highly doubting it. Let's hope I am wrong.
Thinking about picking it up at The Exchange dahn tahn n'at
10/10 perfect Pittsburgh accent
Seriously though, I'm thinking about getting them but I'd go for Amazon if I do.
-
Can you confirm that the packaging is unchanged? I think you said so in the thread somewhere, but just checking.
Also, do they come with download codes?
-
So this box set was just confirmed to be real for RSD. I'm on the fence because, like everyone, I want a 12", but it could just not happen.
-
this is easily FOB's best album
That's bold. I'd love to hear/read your elaboration on that.
Seconded. I don't think it NEARLY matches the musical perfection of Infinity on High. But, I am interested to hear your side.
-
I had to listen to it two or three times to like it. I wouldn't give up on it though.

Travis, will the HT version have the original track list including Get Out! or will it have the more common track list?
I'd wait for the HT one if this was true...Travis said earlier that it would be cheaper than the $30 one that's been delayed a few times.
-
I'm for sure picking this up. Their songs are always the infectious type. They start off pretty okay to me, then they grow on me significantly. I dig the single, too.
-
My god, you're literally on top of everything all the time. Much appreciated Travis! Bummerrrr! Nothing in my neck of the woods. If anyone is near any of these stores and is down to hook it up I'd be eternally grateful. As I said, I'll pay the cost of the record plus of course the shipping to get it over here to CA. Thanks again to anyone willing to even consider it!
My local store has it if nobody has offered yet.

I haven't been on small talk too much these last few days because I've been on vacation. Tomorrow, I'm flying back home. Since I'm on Christmas break, expect to see me on here more than I should be.

Side note, I finally did it:
Every Foo Fightersfan's dream...

Its truly an honor to have one of my quotes be part of your signature
Whoa, hey! I can't see it changing anytime soon.
-
speaking of HT records, can someone find me the link to the old hot topic deja entendu page
My searches only bring me T-shirts. Why do you want to see it?
-
Merry Christmas, everyone! May Santa Claus bless you with many records on this day.

I'm on vacation in LA and got to go to the Amoeba store--the place is unreal.

I hear ya. That makes sense. For future reference, the MOV pressing was $40 and the TCR was somewhere in the 20's. So that would have been a giveaway.
What an incredible rip-off, especially considering that it was sticker'd and had seam splits.
-
Ah. Well, all the stuff you mentioned (sticker, split sleeves...) were things on the MOV press only. So, of course, your copy wouldn't have it.
Correct. Some others said that both may have been in stock, so I crossed my fingers. I suppose it's just TCR copies in stock now then...
-
SRC very recently put up some "found" Music On Vinyl copies
No, the one I got was TCR

All these motherfuckers coming out of the woodwork saying they've never seen Die Hard it sounds more like we need to rent out a theater.
VC community theater needs to be a thing...like a stream with a chat or something.
-
A few pages back, I had to ask about the current pressing in stock at SRC, and I'm happy to say that it had no problems. No sticker, no seam splits, played through perfectly.
-
I've also not seen Die Hard. I'm a hermit
I wasn't willing to say it either until someone other than bladie did...I haven't seen it.

Though I figured I'd share the article, I completely agree with everyone...they don't really need to be repressed. Unless the price is $19.99 and you really want it on 180 gram, (Discogs has the 2009 for aroung $25), it's not necessary.
