You are right. It has a feel not unlike the commercial album. I loved the residents for a long time. I should revisit them soon...unfortunately I didn't collect vinyl when I was in to them. Fail on my part.

BTW Brittany, my wife bought me one of the frames that open from the top so you can slide the sleeve in and out easily...and...it works wonderfully. I use it to display the sleeve of whatever I am currently spinning. Unless it is a really thick 2LP gatefold sleeve or more than 2 LPS, it closes without pressing on the sleeve too hard. This way you can take out the record and look at it if you want (or..<shudders>...play it on your cruiser). Either way, you'll be able to conserve the record's quality because it's basically just standing in the frame instead of being compressed. I will say that the frame is kinda pricey, but you save $$$ if you buy the 3 pack. Good Luck, and congrats on your new addiction...err hobby.

Matt, everything you just said occurs in my mind as well.

I also can't wait until Neverender, but EVEN if I buy 3 different copies of a potential repress, I'll still want at least one variant of the first press. I'm fucking weird sometimes (James can attest to this). I'm still open to buy it despite the well-intentioned attempts from everyone to convince me to hold my horses.

Nice! Well, this place is about as cheap as you'll find for sure. I actually read somewhere that the originals for TIALDFSWNTA and Lonesome Crowded west were lost so they may NOT be repressed. I'm going to see MM on Aug 6th and Aug 9th, so I'll ask the merch people (or the band if I am so lucky) what the deal is (if they know). who knows maybe they HAVe repressed it and only sell it on tour! lol I could only hope! If so I'll pick u up a copy.

There are like 3 or 4 MM- Long drive on eBay now, but you're going to pay around $200 for them. They are stupid rare. It's easily one of my favorite albums ever and I want it badly, but not that badly.

Anyone know anything about the vinyl other than it will be released sometime between now and somewhere in the future?
