Thanks for the advice on the Visitor, everyone. Ended up picking it up. Really liked the whole package altogether. Only shame is that it wasn't the starburst variant.
As for these newly announced releases, very excited to check out these releases, especially the lost 2001: A Space Odyssey soundtrack. That is something I definitely interested in. As for the Iron Giant soundtrack, I think I'll be fine with any edition of that. The movie's score to me has some nice highlights but it isn't the most memorable thing about that film although this scene with the score behind it makes me misty-eyed everytime.

Spotted a 'The Visitor' OST for $30 in the wild. Never really heard much fanfare about it. Thinking about getting it though. Can you guys attest to it being a good soundtrack to get or should I reconsider?
-
A $20 tape that looks like a $.99 tape. It'll be awesome!
Don't forget that shipping as well ahaha. Yeah honestly if it's that the price, I wouldn't jump for that unless they threw some extra shit to go with that package.

PO Details are finally out on Bleep; check them out:
The incredible return of Flying Lotus on Warp. You're Dead! sees producer Steven Ellison taking us on a transcendental voyage into the afterlife. A wholly immersive, psychedelic journey, it's a virtuoso performance from one of the decade's most talented and inventive artists. The album features contributions from (in order of appearance) Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Captain Murphy, Snoop Dogg, Angel Deradoorian, Thundercat and Niki Randa. Original artwork by Japanese comic book artist Shintaro Kago.

What's the color over there?
Didn't mention it but I assume it was the black because of the fact that Soundstage likes to mention whether you're getting a colored copy or not.

Turns out they had two left. 1 left for anyone who wants to nab it for a reasonable price.
-
I could really do with a instrumental version of this album. I'm getting that same vibe with Captain Murphy where I prefer just the instrumentals cause I really don't care much for altered vocals at all haha.
-
Well when are we thinking they are gonna do that Looper drop now? At the end of the month or sometime sooner?
-
-
Come on guys, don't get baited by that statement.
-
The coolest variant seems to still be available. This was a pretty easy release to get if you didn't care about which version to get.
That's because they didn't sell any of those at Comic Con. That probably helped.
-
It's Up. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Up and awake, figured they aren't going to put this up at the regular time. Looking forward to nabbing the Man-Bat or Harley.

I wish this was the cover
Mondo recently retweeted James Gunn telling a fan that he wants to do the cassette version of Awesome Mix Vol. 1. That'll be neat.
-
I have one of those David Bowie 'The Next Day' Test Presses. Tis the only one I have but I'm happy with that one.
-
True but I can do that with some cheaper posters. If Mondo offered some cheaper prints or just printed them on simple poster paper, I would be all over that.
-
Yeah, getting any of the Mondo prints are a really big pain in the ass. It's not worth my time and money to be honest really. It's hard justifying a print that's $50+ plus shipping costs to me. Would rather spend it on records that can do more than just sit on my wall.
-
Nothing official yet, at least that I've seen.
Yeah the Mondo people are pretty quiet, I would think the case being is that they getting all of their stuff back to Texas. I doubt we'll hear anything about a possible drop until next week.
-
Where did you purchase this and would you know if there are anymore or is this already sold out?
This was from the Deathwaltz site. It was limited to 400 and was sold out in the span of about 4-6 hours I believe. The reason why it didn't sell out immediately was because of the simple fact that licensing issues would not allow DW to sell it to the States. I have a friend who lives in the UK who did me a favor and got the record for me. I wouldn't have got it otherwise and it cost me $70+ to get it! At this point, cheapest deal you might find for it is $90+.
-
Better yet, look at the look on Bruce Timms face.
You have got to be fucking with me. Damn you flippers for not only flipping, but doing the cardinal sin of ruining the record. The hell man.
-
I need that poster
I would get that one too but of course Mondo made that poster an SDCC exclusive. Unless they were fucking with us and are going to put some of these up online, it's going to a difficult task with the ebay flippers having a hold on them. Plus they never mentioned the amount of any of the SDCC exclusive posters.

Well mondo just retweeted this..
How awesome would it be if @MondoNews did a vinyl release of the Last of Us score with that fantastic Shaw/Moss art?
Yeah I saw that too. Would be nice to see this sooner than later if it did happen. Perhaps after the Looper release would be an ideal time to release that?
-
Holy crap, a TLoU LP would have been amazing.
I'm in mourning now. Goddamn.
If we're lucky, maybe we'll get a vinyl release for the movie assuming they keep Gustavo. I seriously cannot see anyone else doing the score for the film unless Neil feels that the movie needs to be totally different but I totally doubt that. Anyone wanna bug Justin or any Mondo peeps about why this fell through?

Not going to lie, just bought a copy of RTJ the other day for $17 at one of my local stores. Definitely go diving in any local indie record stores cause odds are they have really nice rap records that no one's buying.
