One local store has 2 copies while another is still figuring out if they have it. This is not good lol. Thank god I'm not working in the morning so I can try and camp out before the flippers arrive.

Popping in here to report that I'm now 0/2 when it comes to random variants thanks to the recent 2001 shipment. Thankfully the packaging really is worth the price this time around.
-
Well I'm glad they pressed the dark knight returns since its a double LP instead of one and includes an extra song that was cut from the original press. As for batman begins, I already have the Silva screen version so I'm happy. I do agree about the dark knight but its owned by a different company. I'm still holding out even though I had the chance for one at $140 a while back....just my luck I would get it and find out the repress was announced a day later.
I say just wait. With the resurgence of soundtracks on vinyl, there is no doubt someone will try and repress that albums. Hopefully Inception as well!

Still boggles the mind that they can get away with $7 media mail shipping. I just shipped a record for $3.88. While taking risks on lesser-known Mondo releases worked for me with the Visitor since it was a full release, I won't with a $22 7'' record for a score that I literally know nothing about.

Wow, how on (or off?) earth was this track missing from the official soundtrack? By far the most intense track in the movie.
Supposedly, it was a just a cue that was edited by the sound department using various tracks. I'm not an expert in how soundtracks are designed when they are released, but I do scratch my head at their thinking that no one would miss that track from one of the most pivotal scenes in the film. I also often wonder why they just don't release the complete scores for films in the first place.
All I know is that it's gonna hurt when I buy that vinyl version knowing they will not have that amazing cue.
-
For anyone that felt it was a sin that this cue was missing from the main score tracklist, here it is recreated by someone who managed to mix tracks very well. You'll know what I'm talking about the minute you play this track. Supposedly, Hans is going to release this cue from free sometime later because of the demand for it, but this will do for now.

I'm honestly going to get these pressings cause the Silva pressings are a bit expensive for my tastes. Thanks for making them reasonably priced!

While looking at my recent purchases page, I noted that the 2001 purchase has been fulfilled. They should be with us all shortly.

Doing the Batman poster drop today...any tips or is it a crapshoot?
-
I assume MOV will do standard press and variant.

Can confirm.
Soundtrack is amazing
I guess the movie is alright, too..
Visually and sonically this film is definitely top tier. Story-wise, it's very much comparable to Sunshine. Least it had a decent plot unlike Gravity, which was also praised for being a sonic and visual experience as well.

That's still steep. I guess I'll be sticking with my 2xLP version.
While that is true and it went against my smart shopper instinct, I went ahead and bought it cause I knew I would end up doing this to the record later...
It also now leaves me with an already-opened regular version as well. Whoops. Might have to throw that one on the 'bay and see if anyone will want it.
I have to say that SD show was turned up as any show I have seen there. It was hot as hell and Mike and Jamie decided to call it the '2nd most ratched' show they did lol.
-
Still $65. There's actually no regular 2xlp at the moment. How much for the 4LP version?
-
Here at the SD show and they definitely have the 4xlp. In fact apparently over 100 of them.

Just popping by to express my EXTREME displeasure that we still don't know which fucking jackass signed his name on the grooves of his own record.
Another question arises: Does the artist actually own a record player himself????????
-
Yeah, I'm honestly more bummed by the current trend of adding $7 to a record just because it's color vinyl. What happened to just having early color copies go to eager pre-sale shoppers and not wringing them for extra pennies? I think this shit is going to hurt vinyl buying in the long run.
It's pretty much like the comics industry, the art print industry, movie industry as well. 3D covers, different colored prints, steel-case Blu-rays. Who wouldn't want to make a profit if you can justify the price tag and it sells out? If anything, we have ourselves and the flippers to blame for bringing these prices up. Granted, many of these releases wouldn't happen if it wasn't for the vinyl boom, so enjoy it while you can.
But yeah, CAPITALISM and THE HOBBY y'all.

The wrap around sleeve is pretty cool. It's usually screen printed and sealed with a Sacred Bones Wav seal. Im not sure it's $33 cool...
It's $38 when shipped so yeah. 8 unknown tracks + Vortex. 1 colored vinyl and fancy packaging. I dunno.

Pre-order is up now you guys! Orange/Black swirl is the deluxe, there's a red/black swirl and then there's the old reliable black.O/B: $33R/B: $25B: $18

2017, I actually was lucky enough to ask Thomas at Mr Oizo's "Reality" premier in Hollywood this last Friday, I literally could not stop shaking due to my shock. Got to shake his hand and popped the question, I didn't get a "Tour starts in 2017" but he smiled and nodded when I asked, "Alive 2017?". Also OP good lookin' out on the links!
But seriously, that is so awesome to have met one of them.
-
As excited as I am for this stuff, this just makes me still want something else: an 2015/2016 daft punk tour ticket.
-
Kellie Pickler. Mystery solved.
That's only if you consider Kellie to be a guy, cause OP did state it was a he.
This also makes me ask: Why didn't you offer him the sleeve? A sig usually looks way better on a sleeve than it does on a label on the record.
-
mine arrived about two weeks ago in that shitty cardboard condom wrap crap and amazingly didn't have a bent corner!
It finally arrived for me. The box looked so bad but thank god the record was fine.

Having spotted a Moonrise Kingdom vinyl for $45, I'm wondering if I should just wait for this mythical thing or just give in. I definitely want the Fantastic Mr. Fox score though.
