Ok, I have this A/V receiver (http://www.amazon.com/Harman-Kardon-AVR-100-Receiver/dp/B0000300E1) as a hand-me-down from my father in-law who used it as a surround sound for his TV. I'm not very good with these kinds of electronics, could I use this as phono receiver for a turntable or would I be better off selling it and buying a dedicated stereo receiver? (Some extra info incase you don't wanna click that link: it's rated at just 40 watts per channel (wpc) in surround mode (50 wpc in stereo), the AVR 100's High Current Capability (HCC) amplifier sounds as dynamic and effortless as many 150-wpc amps we know.)

Anyone pre-order from insound? Was the shipping brutal? I kinda wanna wait and see if any other site has these available.

Omni definitely had a lot of repetition in it. It sounded very radio friendly, like you'd hear it playing in the background on an episode of 90210. It's not bad, but it's no Menos El Oso.

Is this the cover Gaslight Anthem posted online a while back? Although I love both bands, that cover was kinda janky.

4 x Chariot albums in a box set for - $50-$60 isn't an insane amount (I'm excluding the Unsung EP from this). Let's be realistic, a single album by The Chariot on vinyl will probably cost about $16.25 with shipping if we're lucky, that would be about $65 if you individually bought each online (assuming they won't all be pressed at the same time). I love The Chariot and would stoked to own a boxset and with all their LPs. I understand if others would rather own separate albums opposed to everything at once or maybe don't like everything the band's put out. Still, I'm pro-boxset. PS: A poster won't sell me on shit.

A guy on craigslist offered me a Technics SL-1650 for $40, but it needs a new cartridge and doesn't have a dust cover. I don't have a legit receiver (I do have a Harman/Kardon AVR 100 laying around), or speakers. If I were to take this off his hands, which kind of cartridge should I look into? Can I salvage the Harman/Kardon AVR 100 and use it as a phono receiver? I can't find a lot of data about the Technics SL-1650 so I'm not sure what other questions I should ask him. Any advice will help me greatly! Thanks guys!

On another note, I've been listening to various Chariot albums all day and really really hope they put out a boxset opposed to all their albums individually on vinyl. I'd hunt them down regardless, but holy shit, a boxset would be amazing!
