Not that I know of, they have been a local chain for a long time, and if I had to guess I'd say they just mirrored their site after Bullmoose when they saw the success of another "local record store" selling online. And not shipping to Canada isn't that rare for a small store. The business and tax implications of doing international sales is often not worth the trouble unless there's a big market demand.

I got the same email. Too bad my package was marked as delivered my USPS and never came. So now my free transparent yellow is lost in the abyss. Edit: just read the other posters email, mine was different. They told me to keep it for their mistake. "We had a shipping error that happened two days ago and we accidentally sent out a transparent yellow vinyl instead of the black and yellow splatter. please keep the transparent yellow vinyl as a gift from us to correct our mistake. Your original order was sent out yesterday and is on its way!"- 1,448 replies

You mean like when you were new to the boards with no feedback and I inquired how much you were asking for Say Anything - IARB (and Two Tongues) and you replied with "Taking offers and I have alot of them so submit an offer". And when I didn't reply, because you, as you so eloquently put it, made me feel off about the whole conversation, you messaged me again a day later with "I would take $150 for both of them shipping included." And when I didn't reply to that, because that's laughable, replied to my thread about asking how much I'd be willing to pay. Seriously dude, I had an almost identical conversation with you as I did with this guy. Before he made this thread he tells me he has BCR and has no idea what it's worth. I offer him $120 for both BSN and BCR, explaining I was expecting $30-40 for BCR, so $80 for BSN. He tells me he wants more for BSN, which is fine, that's his business, but then turns around and tells me he'll sell BCR for $50. How considerate...and when i don't reply, he PM's me again asking how much I'll pay. What a joke.

That is true, but you can also have "paypal credit". Basically a credit card account through them (used to be BillMeLater). I'm betting he used his dad's paypal account and selected the paypal credit, thinking it was as he described, funds in the account that he didn't have or something. All the sudden his dad is signed up for a new credit account and finds out this is happening. Thus starts all the back-tracking.

Yeah, it's a huge difference. Are you slow or something? -

Dehumidifiers condense the moisture through cold coils, drawing the water out. Distilled water is boiled, then the steam collected in a separate chamber. -

I thought everyone knows you don't drink the water from a dehumidifier. If it's not clean enough to drink why would you wash your records with it? "Just as a cold drink collects condensation from the surrounding air, most dehumidifiers use cold metal tubes to turn water vapor from a gas to liquid water. This "condensate" then collects in a bucket or drains out through a hose. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, stagnant condensate can harbor biological contaminants, including mold, mildew and algae, especially if the collection bucket isn't cleaned regularly. Moreover, the condensate can contain lead and other metal residues from the component parts of the dehumidifier. Unlike distilled water, dehumidifier water is never sterilized through boiling." -

I'm all in favor of killing flipper pricing. And again, I have no issue with this variant being repressed. I'm just trying to understand from a business perspective why they would do it. Why not cash in on both the people still wanting a "cool color" That haven't bought it yet, and the collectors who would spend money on a new color just because it exists. Oh well, it's good news for people who really liked the blue/white hot topic colors and couldn't find one at cost.- 1,448 replies

You're implying that without Travis and Hot Topic pressing this again people can't enjoy it. That isn't the case. You can buy it in black any and every day of the week. People are buying the H/T variety because they want to collect that variety.- 1,448 replies

I don't think the problem is they are repressing it, the problem is they are pressing the exact same variant. And I don't even see it as a problem, It just doesn't make much sense to me to not change up the color scheme when you're repressing. You're now limiting the sales of this vinyl to 1,000 people who didn't previously own it. Which is cool, but those people could go buy the black (seemingly unlimited) pressing if all they wanted was the music. You get the color variants because you're a collector. Why exclude an entire group of people who would have potentially bought this album a second time if it was a different color variant? Just seems like a strange business decision to me.- 1,448 replies

Do you just have a cached version of their site still or is something going on with mine? I click your link and it's still a dead link, probably from them hiding all the vinyl on their site still.- 1,448 replies

Using your record-cleaning machine CORRECTLY
xxsilence replied to a topic in Turntables & Other Audio Equipment
Since we're on the topic, should I invest the $20 on the MoFi brush versus what I've been using on my RCM, in the old school discwasher brush (think it's from the 80s, so at least not the new made-in-china crap)? -

Your search skills are...lacking.. Try searching this forum for "cleaning machine" (yes, using the quotes so it finds an exact phrase match). And voila. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/75550-cleaning-your-records/#entry1240353
