EBAY: Test Pressings: Gaslight, Big D, Chuck Ragan
baseballhotdog replied to iamthoreau13's topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
So pissed I forgot to bid on the Rev. Peyton TP - it only went for $6.50. D'oh! -
That is so wrong! I think if my girl got pissed at me, the Simpsons DVDs would be what she would go after.

Suburban Home/Vinyl Collective at the Fest 8 (band
baseballhotdog replied to a topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Honestly, with all the sales that have been going on lately, I've picked up almost all the SH releases that I need or want. I'll still stop by the table - I'm sure I'll find something to buy at those prices! -- I was just remembering last year when I was working merch for Two Cow Garage & Drag The River at their Fest show and Virgil asked me if I would hawk SH merch, too. Due to a lack of communication, I put Drag's & SH's money together. Oops. Sorry about that. -
LATA: FEST Edition Available Now

I picked this up last night at The Atlantic. The packaging is outstanding. Can't wait to give it a spin. -
What Ryan said...Steamers/Buddha Belly is awseome. Not too far from downtown, either. Jon Gaunt was working at Buddha Belly a few months back. Also, one day a month they give a percentage of sales of curry to help out homeless dogs and cats.

I've noticed that, too. There's no way they haven't sold 500 of that press. -
10.27 Gainesville Pre Fest Party at The Atlantic
baseballhotdog replied to behead's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Yep..great bill. I was talking about it in the Live At The Atlantic vinyl thread. Technically, this has nothing to do with vinyl - should actually have been posted on the Everything Else board...just sayin'. -
Best thing about this year's Fest is that I moved into a house over the summer that is a 5 minute walk to all the venues. I don't have to worry about getting home at the end of the night and if I have to do a #2, then I can go home to do that.

Got any old Fliers, Set Lists, Pics? Lets see em
baseballhotdog replied to mrc's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Dang, seeing all those State Theater/Jannus Landing flyers takes me back to when I lived down there. I went to see Gaslight Anthem at The State over the summer and that place has not changed a bit. I'm sure I have some old Tampa/St. Pete flyers boxed up. I'll have to take a loook. -
It's still going on. Today and tomorrow everything is 50% off. I might swing by there after work and see if anything decent is to be found. The books/LPs/cassettes/CD/VHS/DVDs are not all from the library - alot of them were donated by individuals for the sale. I'll try to remember to post when the next one happens in the spring.

LATA: FEST Edition Available Now
baseballhotdog replied to soundstudymatt's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
maybe... the inner sleeves are the last part we are missing and they are being printed tomorrow, everything else is already done. So, if we get the sleeves tomorrow I'll put one together and bring it. I just got my first look at the finished covers. They look fucking awesome! Also, that show should be really good. Nah, don't go to any trouble - I'll pick up a copy on Friday. I appreciate it, though. Yes, tomorrow night's show should be awesome! -
Hit this twice-yearly event over the weekend. I've never found anything great there in the vinyl section. Mostly classic rock/country/easy listening records. A couple of interesting things I came across; * Against Me "Sink Florida Sink" on marbled purple - no sleeve, just loose. * Casualties record clear vinyl no cover - just in a white paper sleeve. Maybe if I had gotten there when they first opened....

Any chance I could pick one of these up at tomorrow night's Chris Wollard & The Ship Thieves/Radon/Whiskey & Co. show at The Atlantic? If not, then I can wait until Friday! -
Chuck Ragan GOLD COUNTRY 2nd pressing info
baseballhotdog replied to baseballhotdog's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
That is surprising. I'm glad I got hooked up with the new live LP and the Bristle Ridge picture disc. I thought those would be gone by the time we get the Revival Tour here in FL (the last dates in November). -

AAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!! That's cool, actually. These have been reasonably priced. Thanks for the heads up there, Virgil. -
"bambam" suckered me, too. I probably should have checked here before doing business with him. He contacted me via deadformat with a couple of records from my wantlist. I agreed to do a trade. He insisted that I send him a picture of the 7" that he was getting from me. He didn't believe I had it and it hadn't been shipped from the label yet. I sent him a pic and he was cool with it. I sent it with confirmation/tracking (per his request). It arrived to him 3 days later. Never got my record from him and he never replied to any of my messages. I'm only out a 7", but it's the principle that pisses me off.
