  1. Monster Hunter: World is kinda hard but rewarding as well, pretty decent game although I hate the online focus. Dragonball Fighterz reeeeeally needs some server patches. Can’t get a game at all.
  2. On average, it’s a 15-16 hours story lol. So it’s twice as long as any of the first three. I think six hours is perfect for one of those games, but fifteen is overkill. Lost Legacy is about six hours. I’m not a big fan of this generation’s obsession with sandboxes. I just don’t think it’s necessary for every single game to be a living, breathing environment with 20+ hours of gameplay. Back in the day, that’s why you bought GTA or Shadow of the Colossus, to explore their big worlds. Now you gotta do that in every game just to finish a story run-through.
  3. I’ve been working on Uncharted 4 for months. It’s so long-winded. A soldier chunk could have been removed and the game wouldn’t have suffered, IMO. I’m hoping Lost Legacy doesn’t overdo it’s stay. Monster Hunter at 9pm tonight! If you’re buying yours from GameStop, call and see if they’re doing an early release cuz they probably are.
  4. Amazon sent my copy of the Wonder Years acoustic EP in a box so big, I’ve been using it to hold other boxes for when we move
  5. I’ve cut back heavily on collecting anything, but the JP line looks so good that I may have to hunt them all down. Jurassic Park is seriously my favorite thing ever. And the dilophosaurus looks fucking GREAT.
  6. If you didn’t like Bioshock, you probably won’t like Metro. Very similar games, but Metro has more of an emphasis on survival and ammo conservation. Game Pass is where it’s at though, especially if you complete the Xbox Quests and Game Pass Quests. I haven’t paid for game pass yet because they keep giving me $5 rewards for completing Quests.
  7. Not all, amazon has shitty stipulations on that 20% off. No collector’s editions, and sometimes remasters as well. Bayonetta 1/2 for Switch wasn’t 20% off until enough people complained about it to customer service. I paid full price for the Kingdom Hearts remasters cuz they weren’t “new”. Best Buy gamers club unlocked is 20% off every single game. New, old, on sale. Last week I got the Dishonored 2 Collector’s edition at Best Buy for $44.
  8. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still hyped for what’s coming. Kirby, DK, and the Nicalis games (Wonder Boy, Blade Strangers) are gonna be great. I just don’t understand the Labo shit. It’s obviously marketed at kids, but the prices are so fucked that no parent in their right mind would buy it. For real, if my daughter were old enough to want one, I would give her twice the cost to just forget about it.
  9. Just when Nintendo was starting to make great moves, they come along and try to sell cardboard boxes for $80 :|
  10. Who the fuck gives a shit. It’s one of the heaviest records of the era, and you yourself said it was good. I don’t understand how a sub-sub-genre classification (which is 99% bullshit anyway) is deterring you from buying it. It’s metal, regardless of the adjective before it.
  11. I never got a Wii U so I’m fine with all these ports/remasters. Best part is definitely Kirby tho. My girlfriend and I are gonna have a blast with Kirby.
  12. PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is $2.99 on PSN right now so I bought that. So stoked, it was one of the best parts of owning a PS3. Preordered the physical editions of Wonder Boy for Switch and PS4 yesterday, along with a physical copy of the Secret of Mana remake for PS4. I’ll probably buy Monster Hunter World on release as well.
  13. I’ve considered emailing Lisa a link to this thread so she can see I’m not the only one who’s had problems.
  14. Got an email a couple days ago saying there was an problem with the next issue (surprise surprise) so I replied asking about a corrected copy of the last issue cus I never contacted them about it. I don’t think I’ll be continuing with my subscription once it runs out. It’s literally been a headache since the first goddamn issue.
  15. I totally would if my lady wouldn’t smoke me for it. That’s one of my top 5 favorite movies. OT: actually crying because Anytime won’t be a bonus track.
  16. Bioshock games are dope but they’re fucking frustrating at times, especially the first two. I need to pick up the remasters. Prey is on my list once it gets under $20.
  17. I wasn’t saying it was a walking sim, just saying that’s the big trend in horror games. Also, RE5&6 are junk and fans of those should just avoid anything good.
  18. Ah I dig the newer Tomb Raider games. I play almost all the FPSs as well. I used to be really into survival horror games, but this generation has ruined them for me. Every scary game now is basically a walking simulator and it pisses me off. Everyone saying XBC2 is repetitive, boring, directionless, etc, thank you. I was on the fence about buying it because the reviews are hit or miss. Seems like the game is too.
  19. Traded my copy of Evil within 2 with a quickness because of this same reason. Got what I paid for out of it so I’m not bummed. I just don’t have time to be clueless in a game.
  20. The couple people who posted about theirs had identical hauls. My CD grab bag was mostly shit besides D4, None More Black, and Old Man Markley.
  21. You’re probably talking about Battle Royale mode, which is free on all platforms. It’s nothing like the actual Fortnite game.
