that's what i've noticed about the few columbia kids i've met...i go to depaul where most of the kids are too rich for their own good. I was thinking about going to DePaul before I decided on Columbia. My main factors in deciding were the cost, and the fact that I really did not want to go to another Catholic school again. Columbia has its fair share of rich kids. Most of the kids go there and kind of fuck off because it's of no consequence to them.

It's not a bad school. I took a music business class and my teacher was incredibly out of touch. According to him "no artist or record label has ever survived without the help of a major label." We argued quite a bit over this point. I even loaned him my copy of the Instrument DVD, but he didn't care because it "wasn't his thing." My writing classes have all been enjoyable...except for the incredibly large amount kids who are too artsy for their own good.

I go to Columbia for Journalism.

If I was working full time that would be ideal for me, but since I'm going to school full time and working part time I probably wouldn't be able to make it work due to having other bills and such. I'm sorry, man. I'd love to get out of "the region" and into the city, but I guess now just isn't the time.

It depends on how much rent would be. If you could give me a ballpark figure of what my part of the rent would be I could probably give you a more definate answer.

I would definatly do this if I could afford it. Living in the city would make my commute to work and school so much easier instead of taking the train from Indiana every day.

I've gotten some pretty good records from the Hot Topic near me. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who buys records there. I have a feeling both the workers and people who shop there are pretty clueless. I once had an employee ask me why "i was buying so many calenders."
