I'm doing the cd mastering myself as I am into that kind of thing. I know with vinyl mastering that basically you need to make sure the bass isn't too high. So I was thinking of just mastering it myself and then getting it plated. Perhaps that is a bad idea though.... I think our budget is going to be $1000. Basically we're taking all the profits from our cd sales and our cd release show and see if we can press it on vinyl. I just doubt we're going to sell much unless we get the word out and try to sell this on the internet somehow. Again we're not in this for money, but I don't wanna lose money on this. I'm fine with coming out even. Any profit we might make is going to some sort of charity.

nothing you've ever heard on mainstream radio in the past 5-7 years is emo. My appologies, I shouldn't have used the E word, I LOVE real "emo" fugazi, sunny day real estate, Braid, Kind of like spitting, Cap'n Jazz. etc. I more meant the Fall out boy style of pop punk.

I always just wrote them off as some generic emo band without ever giving them a chance.

So somehow I have not listened to this band (sober anyway) so I figured if it's such a rare album and they found some I'd order one. What the hell right?

I generally do, however I'm personally not one for owning multiple colors of vinyl, I'm fine with just one.

Man I wish I had some jay-z on vinyl. The only rap I own is Raising hell by Run Dmc. I need to add some: Dead Prez, NWA, The Roots, Blackalicious, and wu tang to my collection.

I've under estimated this album. I still prefer "Get Warmer" and "Goodbye cool world" but this is really really good. I love how well all the Btmi! albums flow.

Hey, I'm really sorry if this topic already exists somewhere but I'd really like to get some vinyl pressed of my band. I only want to do a run of 100 (I doubt we'll even be able to sell that) and I'd prefer to do it on anything but black. I don't know what I wanna do about covers yet as I assume they will be kind of pricey too, maybejust go the braid route and buy old albums from thrift stores and paint over them and make each cover different. The worst part is that we're going to have to get them shipped to canada. I don't care about making any profit on this but I'd like to break even and I don't wanna charge more than $10. Any thoughts?

It's on ebay often enough. I've never seen it go for more than $40 for it. Yeah, I'm only into spending like $20 on it, I'm not a huge fan but it'd be kinda nice to have. I'll just wait for a possible repress or something.

Share? If I like the idea I can make it happen, design-wise. Basically have a 7 inch on the front but a really cartoony drawing of one with a little bit of light reflecting off on the side (I don't know If I'm explaining that right) With Vinyl collective written on the label and with one of those yellow 45 adapters in the middle too. Then on the back a comic book style drawing of guy (looking really annoyed) talking to a girl with the speech bubble saying "Yes, they still make vinyl....".

Is something to write home about a rare album? I wouldn't mind a pressing (any really) but I'm not really into dropping a lot of money on it.

I noticed relapse has the cd up for preorder but not the vinyl yet. Why is everyone waiting for the relapse pre order? Cheaper? Cooler stuff included?
