Same here man. Been after it forever. Such a great album. Of course after finding out its being reissued, I find a NM copy of the original blue wax on eBay for $60. Grabbed it anyway.

Good to know. Can't wait to get this in my hands and have their discography complete. Though I've been a Pinback fan for a long time I never got around to their first album or BSL until a couple years ago. And they just get better and better with each listen.

I'm just hoping I don't start seeing it for sale for less once the RSD reissue is out.

Picked up an original copy of this on blue wax from eBay today. NM condition on vinyl and jacket, for $60. Even with the reissue coming out I figured that was a pretty solid deal. Does anyone know anything about the sound quality on the originals? All Pinback's other stuff sounds fantastic on vinyl but this is an older pressing...

Still available. Grabbed one. I don't think we should be complaining about a $35 album when it's autographed by such a huge name in hiphop, but that's just me.

I think last year 1400ish stores participated. If there's 1500 copies you should be able to grab one just about anywhere. I'm lucky to live in a big city where there is a record store in any direction, so if the day comes and anyone needs me to grab you a copy I'd be happy to help out.

Between BSL and S/T I only have the S/T but it's one of my best sounding records. Not that Pinback's sound is all that demanding anyway.

Often times 180g records are not left to cool for the longer period of time they need, so warping can actually happen more often with them. Or so I've heard. The other thing is, whether 180g or not, the grooves are the exact same. It's mostly a marketing gimmick so they can label it "audiophile." I have plenty of regular weight albums that outperform the 180g albums I own.

I hope at least it was the sexy blue variant...

Fun fact, Penelope is about his pet fish that died. Listen to the lyrics again and it makes a world of sense, ha. It's one of the few Pinback songs that are actually about something specific.

Sounds like it's going to be an RSD release so "everyone" may not get one... I'm curious to know how many will be produced but judging from Rob's responses to me on twitter it doesn't sound like he knows too many details.

God I wish I could hear any Pinback album again for the first time. Especially BSL and Summer in Abaddon.

Pinback is one of those bands in the middle- in general nobody has really heard of them, but across the US there are more than enough fans to grab 2,000 copies of their S/T. I had missed out on RSD 2014 (wasn't even really paying attention to what was going to be available actually, otherwise I'd have grabbed one) and was looking for a copy as prices rose, then I luckily found one still sealed at a shop last year about 500 miles from home. I just need BSL to complete the discography of this awesome band.

Vinyl is the clear variant, still sealed. I'd like to sell both together. Cassette sealed too. PM if interested.
