  1. Damn, that's commitment. I drove from Minneapolis (1.5 hrs) and I thought I was being silly, knowing the band wouldn't be there. And then of course, while I'm there, they tweet that there's a Minneapolis event tomorrow.
  2. I went to the Eau Claire event today. There were maybe 200 people in the little parking lot where the mural is. Up at the front by the wall there was a newspaper rack with the 22AM newspapers, and a little boombox playing the album. I uploaded a gallery of the newspaper: http://imgur.com/a/nr3w3
  3. I'm skeptical... the intersection mentioned in the tweet is near a venue that already has stuff going on that evening, a library, a bank, and a small parking lot where the 22, A Million mural is. I'm willing to bet something's gonna happen at the mural...
  4. I'm wondering what's up with this, just tweeted tonight: It looks like they're playing a show over in EC (their hometown), which is about an hour and a half drive from me. Might make the drive over there after work. Would be worth it... However reports are that the band has been in France for a show a couple days ago, and has shows in Berlin this weekend... ?
  5. Went ahead and let myself listen since I heard them play it live this summer and already have an idea what it sounds like. I went to college in the city the band is from, I identify with and love the first 2 records. I'm not sure how I feel on this one yet. I appreciate that Justin always wanting to do new things with his music, and reinvents himself with each album. But I just don't see myself getting as attached to this one. All the vocal and instrument harmonizing and synthesizing is neat, definitely lots of cool sounds on the album, but the songwriting doesn't seem to have as much depth put into it as his previous work. But that's just my initial take on it. Subject to change after a few listens.
  6. Just getting into this band lately, and found the "last show" tour pressing /100 today while down in Kansas City for a friend's wedding (I'm from Minneapolis). Pretty excited
  7. A record store near me is doing an in-store performance and signing with TBS next week. You have to pre-order the new album to be granted entry, I think I'll go check it out.
  8. Red & White variant up for preorder on Amazon UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LW6YEJE/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Only $16 shipped to US. Hell yeah. Edit- just realized it's the single. Is this the same one as the US version? Thought that was just red.
  9. Forgot to mention in my original post I have a signed Lady Gaga CD, the one with Tony Bennett. I'll guard it with my life forever. Record store near me gave them to the first few people in like on RSD this year.
  10. Wow, JAMC is cool, how'd you meet them? And any chance you'd wanna sell or trade one of the Jimmy Eat World ones, particularly Clarity? My signed collection is in the first post, a trade would be ideal...
  11. I need a foxing autograph! Saw them with TWIABP last year and it was an awesome show, but I didn't think to get an autograph then. Hoping they come around again soon.
  12. I went through and made an album of my signed vinyl, curious to see what you folks have stashed away as well. http://imgur.com/a/NFcua
  13. I groan every time I have to order an exclusive from them. Still waiting on something I preordered back in February. Half a fucking year ago.
  14. Hadn't seen this before. Ordered one. Thanks!
  15. Just saw via their instagram, they put up some tour dates: Oct 29th - Chicago Jan 28th - NY Feb 11th - London Feb 25th - LA Grabbed Chicago tix... 7 hour drive for me but will be 100% worth it. Surely they'll add more dates, but I don't want to risk it, miss out and have to... stay home. Feel like I got slapped in the face with ticket fees though.
  16. From Polyvinyl LP2 page: "but while the house on the cover and the title of the album are the same, they are made strange by time and new found perspective." So yes, same house.
  17. Just gonna bump this again for visibility- anyone going to one of their shows and wanna help a brother out and pick up Lowcountry for me? Just paranoid I'll miss out on the online leftovers somehow.
  18. Saw them at Eaux Claires this weekend but preordered the vinyl bundle online rather than drunkenly carrying a record around in the hot sun. They played the entite new album. 10/10 would vibe again.
