This happens whenever an album is crowdfunded, even though the basic idea is to put money directly into the pockets of creators and artists, because it is an imperfect system they come out of the woodwork to shit all over it. Because even though this board is practically the functional definition of consumerism, for some reason people here look at the idea of the very people who make the things they love living comfortably and it brings bile to the tips of their throats. That's what I love about music fans in general. Some of them actually believe that it's morally wrong if people make money off music. They seriously believe that they are not only entitled to the music they love, but in the format(s) they want, for as cheaply as possible, and that the people responsible for producing what they love should do it for free and live lives of poverty.
