    ... to who?

Think of it this way... 15 years ago the used released their first album. At the time they were on unknown/barely known band.  Now 15 years later they are one of the most well-known revolutionary sounds of rock and one of the most influential bands of our era and one of the best bands in rock 'n' roll history and it all started with this one album that's considered one of the most important albums in rock history.

You've been a member of this forum for over two years now. You should have figured out how things work around here by now. And yet, here we are, with another pointless update to a thread that should be buried in the depths of this board.

Huh? Did you even read my post? 15 year anniversary is not pointless. It's pretty significant.

I hope no one expected the album or genre to age like a fine wine over 15 years, but there's something to be said about having the same shitty tastes remain stagnant for a decade and a half.  I can't really fathom it.

mostly everything i love came from the 2002 era.  music, video games, tv, etc.  it was a time of top most quality and my favorite things from there stuck with me since then.  the things before that from childhood phased away from my tastes (like pokemon for example) and the things after that were when i just went through a weird phase in life and was into weird things but i got of that so 2002 is like the happy medium of my life and at the same time the world of when great things and great quality existed.

  5. what happened to the 7 inch?  it used to be the norm, bands often only released 7 inchers until the beatles made the full length 12 inch more popular.  i was thinking would it be better if 7 inchers were more popular?  on the plus side it is an epic hit single song and a 7 inch could easily be handled with 1 hand while you always need 2 hands for a 12 incher.  on the down side its only 1 song and often needs to be changed on the turntable but on the plus side how often do you really enjoy a entire 12 inch and want to skip tracks any way?  on the plus side it would cost less but on the down side still be pricey for 1 song.  so this has toggles in my mind lately and was wondering how other collectors felt about this.  would any collectors prefer just buying their fav songs on 7 inchers rather then a whole album just to listen to 1 song?  i think i would have a much larger collection, maybe in the 100s if i could buy my fav songs on 7 inchers at a fair price rather than a 12 incher for songs i do not care to hear.  your thoughts, comments, concerns, etc?

the lacquer is the most common medium to cut the master.... the master is then plated into a metal stamper to make the records in a press... yes a lacquer would sound a bit better and definitely quieter (because its a waaaaay softer and a heavier medium then the record itself) but as in the description... with every play (sonically) it will degrade ... so really its only good for 1 play ..my question is WHY???

I Had to watch video to truly understand and  It seems like a weird thing to sell. A pre-master disc pretty much?

With you only having heard one r-head song, I was surprised to see you use the super-secret, true fan only, short hand version of the band's name.

Well, there's no use carrying on this charade.  Now that the cat's out of the bag, can we get the thread title changed?

Wait what cat out of the bag? What's wrong with the title?
