I guess I am one of those that thinks represses should be somewhat different than the originals... different artwork or cover or something. That said, a domestic release of Co&Ca Second Stage Turbine Blade or TV on the Radio Return To Cookie Mountain would make me happy. Also, I really think someone should do a worthwhile release of The Shape Of Punk To Come, really give it the treatment it deserves. It's coming up on it's 10th anniversary.... why not give it a nice double 180 gram gatefold release? Also, Jimmy Eat World Clarity. One of my all time favorite albums, OOP before I really started collecting vinyl.

I don't have any 'local record stores'. I live in the utter cultural void that exists between Chicago and Ann Arbor/Detroit. Really, Toledo, but we all know there is no culture there.

anybody got any good suggestions for where I can find a crapton of poly-sleeves cheap? Between the part of my collection that was uncovered and the ton of records I just got from my in-laws attic, I have about 130 records that need condoms. Some of those are 7" and some are 10" as well.

Someone was like, "Have you seen that Bear vs Shark picturedisc?" and referred me here when it was too late to get the first picturedisc. Then I saw the repress and the mention of Right Now, You're In The Best Of Hands... so I kept on the watch. I really wish I had one to make my collection complete, as they and Small Brown Bike have made my days here in Michigan just that much better. Of course, my wife also bought me some stuff for xmas from vinylhome on ebay, and when they were out of stock on one of them I realized it was the same place and they let me substitute from the VC. I realized the service was awesome so I kept ordering.

no no no, you still don't have it right. Everyone hated Jupiter, but then decided Jupiter wasn't so bad when they put Antenna out. Stupid artists and their unwillingness to continue rehashing the same old ideas! My friend snagged the orange one for $26. edit : that clear one blows my mind, though. it ruins EVERYTHING and is the bane of my existence. Like OJ, I vow not to rest until I find the story behind it.

yeah, my friend in DC just bought both. The purple/black one seems easy to come by but I am jealous of his green and orange one.

I'm so excited I could wet myself. Skumbucket, the only vinyl I've ever found of Neko Case solo has been Canadian Amp. I looked pretty hard too, so I'd be surprised if this were a repress. Virgil, you need to do Fox Confessor Brings The Flood. Blacklisted is probably my second favorite. So many amazing songs, and that cover of "Look For Me (I'll Be Around)"... chills, man. I can't gush about Neko Case enough.

There's a gap on the side I'm not terribly comfortable with. If the crates just sat in the same place all the time it'd be fine, but I occasionally have to move mine around.

Today at work we were having that "what would you do if you had a time machine" discussion that people have sometimes, when they have to work with the same bunch of boring jackoffs with nothing terribly interesting to say for themselves. I mostly told them I'd go back and buy all the records I missed out on and now can't afford. They called me a nerd. Beats all their answers, though.

I bought some of those crates but I'm not sure I like the way records fit in them.

It's not until September, but I can't wait for new Weakerthans. I'm really hoping the vinyl is released at the same time as the CD because that's how I want to listen to it for the first time.

What a coincidence, I was just listening to this and talking about how I wished I had the vinyl earlier today!
