  1. Hello everyone! Brand new here, first post. Looking forward to getting to know you all and discovering some cool music.

    Real name:
Jerome. Jeromium is a nickname that a friend came up with in the early 00s.

    Favorite Bands:
Longtime and current favs: Built to Spill, Fugazi, Autechre, The Byrds, Dillinger Four, Pinback, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, Skinny Puppy, Sonic Youth, Sunken Foal, Total Control, A Tribe Called Quest, Viet Cong, Chad VanGaalen, Ty Segall, Faith No More, Aphex Twin...

    What's your Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr etc.?:
My last.fm profile & listening charts

We Will Control All That You See and Hear ( ugly tumblr where I share my "now listening" images from instagram)

    Hobbies (outside of record collecting):
LISTENING is more of a hobby than collecting. I've been obsessed with both since my early/mid teens. Additionally, I love art (disturbing and abstract, primarily), architecture, photography, cars (mostly European and classics), hiking, cycling (road and mountain), skiing, eating, walking, and of course traveling.

Play in a band? Run a record label? Link us!:
Neither. Always wanted to learn an instrument when I was young but never took the initiative. Now I don't have any patience so I don't think I ever will.

Random things you want us to know about you:

I'm from Belgium originally, and have lived in the US for almost 30 years - Milwaukee, Chicago, Houston, and Seattle. I started collecting CDs in my teen years (once cassettes went out of style) and at last count around 2012, I had a bit over 3000. I sold off most of them around that time as they were just sitting in boxes after a few moves, and I had switched to digital. New CDs I purchased would just get ripped and go straight to the shelf. I was getting bored with CD shopping as well. My girlfriend and I recently purchased a vintage receiver and hooked up her Technics table that had been sitting unused for years, and I've started to collect more vinyl. Knowing how much money I spent/wasted on CDs in the past, I'm hoping to better control my obsession this time around. But music is what I've been most passionate about for most of my life, so I'm not sure I can. I hate the professional sports industry. I'm obsessive compulsive.
